SMSL M100 AK4452 Analog Digital Converters DSD512 32Bit/768kHz USB/Coaxial/Optical HiFi DAC Decoder (Blue)

I Purchased this little DAC on the strength of sound quality i have from two previous bits of SMSL Kit. I still use their 'SAP9' Headphone amp. I did plan using the DAC in conjunction with a Tablet running Android as the reviews say it is compatible. I cannot for the life of me, get this DAC to work with Android nor can i with Windows 10! Tried it with Windows 8.1 with no problem, even works fine with my CD player so all is not lost. However they really need to get their act together with such problems as this. I would have given it 5 stars but due to the complications installing it only a Three star. n

its connected SPDIF to my PC and Android OTG USB to a Fire tablet, its very convenient.it sounds good; clinical, audiophile compared to my DragonFly Black and Asus Xonar. Its the only desktop DAC I own, I like it.

This is the first piece of audio gear I have ever bought without first doing a lot of research on. I took a chance on it because I wanted a discreet basic non balanced dac that would live under my desk with the sole purpose of feeding my (Liquid Spark) headphone amp. I took the risk mainly because of the price, design and specs.I was not dissapointed. This is an amazing little dac for the money. My previous device was an all in one Audioengine D1 which was also excellent value for money and served me well fore years but this is just a fixed line out DAC without the amp.The first thing I noticed was how incredibly clean this DAC is. The noise floor is completely silent. The sound is very analytical and detailed. Initially it sounded very warm and smooth but after burn in it openned up nicely. The soundstage widenned and became noticeably more crisp and detailed.I honestly cant believe how cheap exceptional quality audio gear is becoming. If you buy this DAC you will not be disappointed. I'm going to order another one to feed my Darkvoice tube amp so that I dont have to keep switching inputs between amps and I trust this DAC as it has worked flawlessly since I bought it.
