Kalimba 17 Keys Thumb Finger Piano - Mbira - Solid Mahogany and Portable with Carrying Bag and Instructions

My 17 year old son has been into music and instruments. He asked for this for Christmas. When it came and I opened it, I was honestly shocked. It was bigger than expected! It was the cutest little thing! I had to play it. I was trying to wrap it for Xmas but couldn't resist playing with it! It came with a tiny little book of a few songs. I picked up pretty quickly. There was only one I was confused about. In the book there was a number zero and there was no 0 on the keys. Maybe I am just being dumb and it's not actually a key to use but if not why was it on there for one of the songs? Lol I played everything else very nicely! I don't know if a kid could pick it up quickly or not. I know my teenager will be able to. The sound was really nice as well. It also came with a little "Hammer" looking thing I guess to use to hit the keys...or I assume that's what it's for. I tried it and it didn't like that...would rather use my thumbs. It is well made and seems like it will last for a long time if properly cared for. Definitely worth the price I paid which I believe was less than $20. Overall, it is a great gift for music and instrument lovers! You won't be disappointed!

First off, the price of this was very affordable. I expected a small literal hand held device. What I got was much more than expected and exceeds any expectations I could ever have. I got this as a gift for my friend who mentioned having one when she was younger. Living under a rock, I had no idea what it even was. I opened the box to see what it looked like and it’s a beautiful wooden instrument that is light enough to carry in the pouch that’s include and pop it into your bag. You can use it virtually anywhere; at work, at home, at the park, on the train. It makes such a beautiful sound, too. I’m so happy with this purchase. Might even come back to buy my own.

This kalimba is very cute! And it sound amazing, but I'm missing D●●2 key. Love it but I wouldlove it even more if I had the missing key.

I just got mine today and I am in LOVE! It's so cute and so easy to pick up. The body of the instrument is very sturdy, high-quality wood. The sound is incredible. It did need a little tuning at first, but it was easy to do. And I've already picked up several songs on it! It's so simple and fun to play; I feel like I could do it for hours. I think it'd make a great gift for a music lover/a great first instrument to learn. I didn't find the included instruction guide very helpful, but it wasn't a problem because playing it is somewhat intuitive.

First Kalimba, Sounds awesome

This is definitely one of my top favorite things I’ve gotten from amazon!! The design on it is so adorable and even if it were more money it would still be worth it! The sound is so beautiful, I sometimes just strum the keys with no tune in mind and it pretty much always turns out beautiful and calming. I’m learning the song Play Date by Melanie Martinez on it and it was so easy to get used to the keys, I didn’t watch any tutorial on how to use a kalimba or really read anything either, just turned on one of my favorite YouTube channels called Sandrah Araja (she has a ton of amazing kalimba videos, many of which include the keys at the bottom of the screen) and started playing it! Literally I love this thing so much, it really makes me so happy 🥺💛

Great product and really good price

Order came right on time, perfect instrument to add my ever growing arsenal. Has a higher, prettier tone than other kalimba I've played, almost like a celeste.

Está muy pero muy bonita. Llegó muy rápido. Tiene un diseño muy bonito de una nube con un solecito. El sonido es espectacular.
