Wow! What a great surprise
The floor return grill arrived in good time. It is in perfect condition. I had planned to paint it black to match my 1800s home but the color is dark enough that I don’t have to paint it. Very easy installation. I never thought I would find a great floor return grill for a good price that is sturdy and fit perfectly.

Best replacement for the money!!!
When removed from the box I was pleased with the construction of the vent, felt sturdy and well built. Installation was a breeze, had to modify opening in the floor because it wasn't square. Fit right in, feels sturdy to walk on, best part of all of it was price, one fab shop online quoted $500.00 to build one.

Good replacement for old houses
We live in an old house built in the 1920s, and with that came the old oak return air grilles. One of them was falling apart so we decided we should replace both. This was a good option, they look good (I spray painted them black to look more like our original hardware), and they seem somewhat sturdy, however, I’m 210 pounds and they seem to deflect a little underneath my feet, but they don’t feel like they’re going to give way. It’s not like they’re in the middle of the floor though so foot traffic won’t be an issues. Overall, these are really good and fit really well.
