OBD2 Scanner ANCEL FX3000 with 5 Resets, ABS Bleeding/SAS Calibration/EPB/Oil Reset/Battery Registration Car Scanner Diagnostic Tool, ABS SRS Transmission Check Engine Code Reader Lifetime Free Update

This is the third OBD2 scanner / diagnostic tool I have purchased. I still like and use the others, but this ANCEL FX3000 has a bigger screen and a little more functionality than the others. Note: I'm still amazed how inexpensive these OBD2 scanners are; I work in the powersports industry (motorcycles, ATV, UTV, etc.) and the comparative type tools we use cost much more than this one and most have less functionality.What attracted me to ANCEL FX3000 OBD2 Scanner / Diagnostic Tool is that it has a higher-resolution screen, has built-in code DTC library and definitions, has free updates through their website, and it also gives you live data readings for most of the OBD2 monitored systems on your vehicle. It also has the ability to capture and record streaming data.And unlike my less expensive OBD2 scanner / diagnostic tools this FX3000 can read and clear engine codes, as well as Transmission, SRS, and ABS readings and codes. It will also run up to 4 data streams in one data graph. It also has the capability to turn off warning (check) lights and is able to perform an Oil Lamp Reset, as well as an EPB Release (parking brake), SAS Calibration, ABS Reset and BMS Reset (battery monitor system).Before using the ANCEL FX3000 I went to the AncelTech website (no longer AncelDirect). Once logged into my account, (you will have to open a free account if this is your first ANCEl product), I downloaded and installed the updater tool and then updated the scanner directly to the ANCEL FX3000 using the included USB cable. (see screen shot)Note: You can also update the ANCEL FX3000 using the included USB thumb drive.With the latest updates installed I was then able to plug the ANCEL FX3000 into the OBD2 diagnostic port on my truck and car to start testing all the functions. Once again I didn't read the manual and I was able to navigate through all the settings and screens fairly quickly as the button layout is fairly intuitive and the tool five you onscreen prompts. (More complex diagnostics and running graphs will require some reading.I've just started using this diagnostic tool, and so far I am happy with the functionality and ease of use. The rubberized case makes it easy (and comfortable) to hold, and the 4 navigation buttons are also rubberized making navigation easy even when wearing mechanics gloves. The 4.0 TFT backlit screen is easy to read, and as with my other ANCEL OBD2 scanner the information screens are logically laid out and easy to navigate.If I experience any issues I will update this review.

I ordered this scanner in May of 2020. Yes it still works great. Since then it has saved me thousands on diagnosis costs. From bad ignition coils, clogged catalytic converter on an 03 Toyota, fuel injectors faulting on a 02 Ford Excursion, timing chain jumping on a 14 dodge journey and countless others over the years. It's been an invaluable tool in my collection.

Have used it for a number of issues in the shop, mainly abs codes that my pocket reader can't access.Live data stream is a wonderful addition for troubleshooting so you aren't just throwing parts at a problem based off of trouble codes.Only real negative I have thus far was the initial software update. I downloaded and updated the SD card that came with it, but the tool wouldn't load the new data. So instead of taking the card out of the tool and updating it on the pc then updating the tool, I ended up leaving the card installed and updated it all at the same time.Will update this review regularly as I continue to use it.

The seller's description on Amazon & their website says it'll work on Ford vehicles & can calibrate the steering angle sensor. I sent them a message anyway to confirm but didn't get a response until AFTER I placed the order some time later. Their response said it won't work for my 2012 Ford truck. When I received it I thought about keeping it anyway but updating the database is IMPOSSIBLE! The "update tool" download on their website doesn't exist. What a terrible experience & waste of time & money. Returning it.

The media could not be loaded. I have about a half dozen OBD 2 scan tools and this is the most recent one I purchased. This one came with the DLC cable, micro USB cable, micro SD card reader, as well as the 8GB micro SD card. The unit requires you to create an account at Ancel's website so you can download updates for the cars/trucks you may be scanning. I selected the vehicle makes that are available in the US and downloaded the updates to the micro SD card. Took about 30 minutes to do so.I first tried this unit in my 2005 Nissan Frontier and it works flawlessly. I really like that it has the Steering Angle Sensor reset. Some late model Xterra/Frontiers require a SAS reset when changing the battery.The unit feels solid, and has an rubber overmolded grip that encompasses the entire unit. I guess they designed it this way as a mechanic will be using this in the shop and may drop the unit. The unit has grips on either side, where your fingers will rest to get a good grip on the unit.Also reads SRS and ABS codes, as well as transmission codes too. Can do Live Data stream as well. Unit can also read the VIN number in the ECU. Good to bring with you if you plan on buying a used car. You can see if the VIN matches between the ECU and the body/frame. Seems like a very good unit for the weekend mechanic, or as a backup in a professional mechanic shop.

Mixed results with the device so far. Seems ok with a 2004 Accord (SRS) however the unit is rather limited/bug? with 1996 Accord on ABS features and readout. Should be easier to find out information on the ABS light "status".

I'm very happy buying this Ancel FX3000 OBD II scanner. It delivered to my address last night. This morning I made my first testing on my 2 cars ( a Mazda 626 2000 and an Isuzu Rodeo 1999 ) It worked really well and very easy testing and verifying the fault codes of both cars immediately. It took about 20 minutes to complete. It working effectively with very simple manual instruction book. I give it a " 5 "grade. The cost of it also much cheaper thanmany comparative scanners from other companies.

Exactly as described. Setup was easy and first use was quite simple. Would suggest to others.

Tout d abord je ne suis pas du tout mécanicien et a très peu de connaissances en la matière, j ai acheter ce produit parcque allez chez seat a chaque fois pour un default coûte cher, j ai une cupra de 2017 et une fr de 2007 et les 2 sont parfaitement compatible, les codes erreurs donnent des indications precieuses et precise sur le default ce qui evite de dépenser des sommes énorme en concession, très simple d utilisation,y a pas énormément de menu ce qui facilite la prise en main, produit parfait qui ma permis de lire le default et de l aquiterJe recommande

Super gerät audn Preis Leistung ist einfach nur Klasse jederzeit wieder.Selbst Fahrzeuge die nicht im System hinterlegt sind können alle abgelegteb Daten aus dem OBD ausgelesen werden auch zugrif auf die Messdaten der Sensoren Live messung im Fahrbetrieb usw...!Natürlich stzt das Gerät etwas Sach kenntnis voraus sonst werden die vielen möglichkeiten schnell verwirrend.Bei den im System hinterlegten fahrzeugen kann auch in die Steuergeräte ebene Gearbeitet werden.Für mich als Hobby schrauber oder auch im Dienst meiner kleinen Werkstatt volkommend ausreichend.Natürlich ersetzt es kein Profigerät mit monatlichen kosten von 100-200€aber es kann schon verdammt viel und war immer ausreichend.

Muy buen tester con muchísimos modelos que se puede. Actualizar de forma gratuita.Las actualizaciones son algo lentas de instalar. Para poder hacerlo tuve que ver un tutorial en internet y pude hacerlo.Aunque tuve que hacerlo directamente con la micro SD que tuve que meter dentro de una tarjeta SD, puesto que metiéndola en el adaptador USB que viene con el lector de códigos no la reconocía mi ordenador (puede que esté provocado por mi portátil que a veces da problemas leyendo usb's).

Arrived in great condition. Used it on my own vehicle, Audi Q5 to run diagnostics and fetch live data and it's great but you have to know a bit about what your looking at for these features. Also used it on a 2012 7.2L Dodge Cummins Dually, that wouldn't start and it got the code right (unfortunately), ECU was dead. Built in code descriptions means you can get the code explanation at the press of a button and those descriptions are in lay terms... mostly. Overall, very impressed with how this machine performs and I highly recommend it.I asked Tech support about it's storage temp limits, and they got back to me within the day :) 5 starPlug n play ready but I recommend watching a you-tube vid on the basics and how to get the most out of it - 4 StarValue - there are simpler machines on the market that can't do nearly what this does for a $100 less. 5 Star value on sale, 4 Star full price.
