I needed a large tea kettle with a whistle. This one delivers. It holds enough water for 5 cups of tea and is attractive enough to leave on the stove when I am too lazy to put it away. The handle does get warm but not so warm that you can't handle it to pour your hot water after boiling it on a gas range. I like the design and function and would purchase it again.

I just received my second one of these. It’s a great tea kettle. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I’ve seen reviews saying the interior rusts. Stainless steel shouldn’t rust, but I’ve seen reviews on much more expense tea kettles that also say they rust. I empty the tea kettle after each use and leave the lid opener open to allow any remaining water to evaporate. If you do this it will certainly not rust.

We ordered this kettle because our old kettle broke after 5 years of use and this was a very similar looking kettle. Unfortunately, looks are deceiving. After one week of use, this kettle started to completely fall apart. The handle dislodged, which is a complete hazard if you have boiling hot water in the kettle. Also, the metal piece on the mouth of the kettle started to get loose, which caused the kettle to stop whistling. The handle was also no longer heat resistant.

Tea kettle is perfect size for me. I have a problem lifting things that are too heavy. Easy to clean and I like the style.

Splashes hot water when opening spout upon boiling and whistle is ear splitting to say the least!

I had ordered a previous teakettle and it rusted inside so the water that came from it was rust colored and it didn't whistle. I ordered this one, a little more expensive, and so far it is meeting my expectations. It hasn't rusted and it does whistle when the water boils, which is important to me because I tend to forget that I have put it on to heat.!!
