Q: which size works with standard size tennis balls

In case you missed the previous 8 answers, the 26M one works great with tennis balls. I no longer bring my own balls to the dog park, as someone else's dog destroys them; there are usually lots of tennis balls laying around. I also go by the local tennis courts to look for balls that have been left outside the courts. If it's a new ball the owner would have retrieved it, otherwise they leave them, and the dog doesn't care if the ball has a perfect bounce.

the letter & number indicates the size. For example- 18M- medium is the size, and 18 is the length of the laucher. This launcher is compatible with medium chuckit balls.26L- large size, compatible with large chuckit balls and 26 inches in length14S- small size, compatible with small chuckit balls and 14 inches in length

Q: I have the rubber chuckit balls. would this work with their grippy texture?

We use lacrosse balls with our chuckit and no issues. Our dog destroys tennis balls in two chomps so we have to go with more durable options.

Q: Is this any different than the Classic 26M which 2400 people reviewed?

I have 6 Pro models .... three medium 18"( lost one) one 26"medium and two ( lost one of them) 26 "large. the pros are much better than the classics. I have given all of my classics away because the pros are so much better! I have a Border Collie and they are used at least 300 days a year for at least 3 years. It is easier for me to aim and release the ball with a pro... and I think they feel better in my hand. They look better , too! Like with any good hand tool, you get what you pay for.
