Kept me dry thru whitewater rafting!

I bought this set after I booked fishing and white water rafting in Montana in early June. I am extremely cold adverse and I knew if I got wet, I would be miserable! The suit worked well for fishing, but the real test was wearing the Frog Toggs thru rapids & getting repeatedly covered in water. I stayed warm for the entire rafting trip (with the exception of my hands & feet, which obviously weren’t protected by my Frog Toggs). After the trip, I changed back into my clothes, & I didn’t have to change my bra. My shorts were wet, but everything from the waist up was totally dry! When everyone else was freezing thru most of the ride, I was totally fine!If you need an inexpensive way to stay dry, this Frog Togg set is perfect.I ordered a medium so that it easily fit over my clothes. I’m 5’5” and about 130 lbs, so sizing said I should get a small, but I wanted plenty of room to move & not rip the thin material.

Great water suit

This water suit is perfect for staying dry in the rain! Keeps you warm as well. Wore in rain all day in Ketchikan and Skagway, 40 degrees, and it made the perfect layer and never leaked.

Not consistently waterproof with each new pair

This is the second pair of these specific Frogg Toggs I have purchased. The first pair was perfect. This recent pair I bought is not waterproof at all. Really disappointed and feel ripped off. Too late to return by the tume I found out they weren't waterproof as advertised.

Great value

Very lightweight and keeps the rain out!The only thing that I don't care for is the fact that there are no pockets in this one that I bought. I've had other frogg togg before and they had pockets in the jacket. The ones I had before were black and I like this light lilac color because it stands out much better at night time. Still a great value. Just very disappointed that there's no pockets

Perfect

Bought this for my GF to use while we out on the trails. Whether it raining or just real muddy she can throw these on over her clothes on a second.Yes it’s light and some call it like paper but for our needs it’s perfect.

Short hood

Biggest complaint: Very short hood. It didn't even come close to covering my whole head. If you buy this, you WILL need to wear a hat with a rim on it to keep the rain off your forehead.Sizing was accurate for me. I'm 5'5 and 160lbs - purchased a large. There's still a little room for baggier clothes underneath.Does kind of feel like "paper" when you're wearing it, no stealth - makes lots of noise as you move. Very lightweight. Semi-compact. Rolls up to about the size of a paper towel roll.I will be taking this suit to the boundary waters with me. Expecting rain.

Stay dry

Water proof lifesaver for outdoor ball games and hikes. Good fit, quality of material and packability.

difference between mens and womens versions? Could be just updates to design.

I bought a suit like this for my husband a couple years ago. After getting soaked recently from above knees to feet, I decided I needed a suit, too. I thought I had a good rain coat up until then. But I was tired of getting awfully wet.... I have good boots, but raincoat only covers so much.Got this yesterday, got to try it today. I put a lightweight fleece jacket on under, and a ball cap on my head to keep rain off my face. The suit is VERY bulky, lots of room in it. But I think that is what helps it breathe also. I went out in pouring down rain and my clothing stayed dry.I have short legs, so I turned the legs up so that they wouldn't drag... yes, there is velcro that you can fix around ankles, but some of our puddles here are quite deep. I'd rather have shorter legs on the pants than worry about dipping them into water. My husband has the same problem... we really don't want legs so long that we have to figure out a way for them to stay up... rain and or muck boots keep our feet and legs dry. After sitting out of the rain with stuff still handy I started noticing differences. They could be upgrades to both versions, I can't know. The new suit I got, the womens jacket hood is attached, not held on with snaps. My husband's older suit has a detachable hood. The hood on my husband's suit is HUGE. The only way to make it smaller are drawstrings that you'd have to tie. New suit has elastic cord and cord locks. That meant that I could fit the hood and have it stay without having to tie strings under my chin. The legs in the pants of my new suit were split at the bottom, I guess to make it easier to get boots through. Husband's suit pants are just really really wide at the bottom.. and his boots do not fit through. Mine fit, but I think it's easier to put the pants on first and then change into boots. (plus, no worries about getting dirt on the insides of the legs)His pants have a drawstring elastic with cord lock... and that is on the inside of the waistband. Mine is on the outside. One other thing: my ladies jacket has the zipper wrong side around. No one does that anymore, I can't imagine why they did that for this jacket. I am used to standard zippers all threading in the same side. Unisex zippers. I don't need a wrong way zipper because I am a female... I'm not going to be breast feeding a baby wearing this!
