Dell OptiPlex 5050 Micro Form Factor (Intel Core i5-7600T, 16 GB DDR4, 1TB SSD) Windows 10 Pro (Renewed)

I've been using the computer in our business for about 2 months now. It has been reliable with no issues. I really like the small form factor and it fits easily on my desk.

I’ve had this machine a few months now and it can’t handle anything. It’s slower than my five year old laptop. I was expecting some issues with it being a refurb but not this bad.

Was expecting built in wireless\Bluetooth rather than USB dongles. The USB dongles are unreliable for a business and do not authenticate in the same manner during boot as the built in cards that make use of the dedicated bus.Will not be a repeat customer that's for sure!!!Amazon needs to do a better job of screening products and resellers listings. Listing is misleading.

I had high hopes for this PC but noticed it was very slow. Maybe even slower than the very old PC I was replacing. I eventually replaced the hard drive because the cheap “ADATA” SSD that was in it started to fail. I replaced it with a very fast NVMe M.2 SDD hard drive but noticed no difference in speed/performance.I don't know why I waited so long before researching this issue more diligently, but I finally learned that there was probably an issue with the supplied power supply that was throttling the CPU. Instead of operating at the rated 2.7 GHz, it was throttled by the BIOS down to 800 MHz! No wonder it seemed sluggish!As a test and as a temporary solution, I used a utility called "Throttle Stop" and removed the check mark from "Disable Turbo" and the speed indicated on the Performance tab of Windows Task Manager immediately jumped up to 3.07 GHz and opening apps and other tasks is very snappy now!I ordered a new power supply which should solve the issue without needing to use a utility to manually remove the BIOS speed limiting. I will update if the power supply turns out to not be the issue, but I expect that it is the problem. The power supply that came with this PC was an aftermarket replacement part rather than a Dell branded part. If it had arrived with a good power supply and if the hard drive hadn’t failed, I'd have given it 5 stars.UPDATE - Yeah, it ran at the stated 2.7 GHz with the new power supply. So, now that I replaced the hard drive and the power supply, it's great. I get 5 stars!

We really like our new computer. It is so fast!!

Has either a damaged motherboard or CPU, and is refurbished out of mexico with an aftermarket power brick. One of the displayport ports doesn't work.
