I have never tried a kalimba before so I really have nothing to reference it too buy so far I am really enjoying playing this one. Some of the higher notes are a bit harder to play/hear but I wonder if it needs to be broken in a bit more. Regardless, everything that comes in this set is very handy to have to care for and keep the instrument and tools safe. The little music book is fun to try out as well but I also find that learning songs by ear has been a blast.Very glad I went with this set, I love the color and look of the kalimba and the accessories and instructions that come with are well written and great for anyone starting out.

We have 6 kids who all love fidget toys. I have many musical instruments (guitars, handpan, cajon, ocarina and more) but I wanted something that sounded good no matter what you did. This was perfect! I did not want something super loud or big. Something I could put in a backpack on trips or have out even as a decoration.No matter what you played it sounded beautiful! My 7 year old all the way up to me fell in love with it instantly! Since they are homeschooled and get stressed out at times they tend to fidget and use toys to take a short break. I was irritated by the spinning, zipping and clicking sounds from all those toys LOL.Now they take turns while learning and today it felt like being homeschooled at the spa 😂Like I said no matter what you hit it all sounded good together. My 7yr old even rote a song using the numbers on the front using math... Go figure!I'm tempted to buy another one just for me. Like I said it is not very loud but is not super quiet either. You could still hear it over them talking. It's easy to hold even for a child and yes my husband with his big hands too! It's beautiful and I am thinking to put it on a plate stand on the side table which will be a great conversation starter for when company comes (after covid of course). Seriously though the best part is you don't need to know how to play anything to use it. Just tap away at any of the keys or combination of the keys and enjoy the music you make!It does come with a book btw to teach you a simple song and you can look up other music to play online as it uses a standard C scale. I have not tried the tuning app yet though as it came in tune.I am so glad my mom suggested this, THANKS MOM!!!

Got this for my kids but we ended up using it as well. My 11 year old likes that it is fun.He says "It can be hard to learn the songs but once you learn them, it's easy to play."But it didn't take him long to learn several songs and play the keys by memory.The set up came with a book that had certain apps they recommended for tuning your instrument which was cool.As a parent with kids learning new instruments, this is definitely a good one to have because the sound the keys in practice mode isn't painful to the ears and when they actually learn songs, it's quite enjoyable.My husband and I learned some songs too. The sound can be very soothing.We found kalimba tutorials on YouTube & even some keyboard tutorials were also useful.We got this as a Christmas gift for the kids. We initially wanted to get them a keyboard but they were out of our price range.I'm very happy with this purchase

Product sold by USA Fine Product. For the money, this is quite a nice Kalimba. It is made from a light-weight wood (I don't know the type of wood). It has a nice sound and is quite OK for the price. It comes from China and it did take quite some time to get to me in New York -- but they did meet their expected date of arrival. The case is very good and the hammer tuning accessory. The Kalimba tuned very easily to my electronic tuner -- just a slight 'tap' of the hammer to one end of a tine will really make a difference. For the price, this Kalimba is fine. Good size for the palm of one's hands, too ... young and old.

It's cute, it came in its own little carrying box and all sorts of gadgets.. I have a problem you see.. I get on this app and I scroll and roughly around midnight I start making strange purchases.. and this was one of them. Have awake and half asleep.. I'm like ooohh I'm gonna buy that and play it! When it arrives.. I'm like ooohh.. I don't know how to play it. Lol 🤣🤣 some YouTube videos later.. I'm playing the sound of silence.. and that's as far as I've gotten people.. I don't know how to tune it or anything else. I couldn't tell you if it sounds right or it doesn't.. because I'm not musically inclined!!! I've got zero talent! But with enough YouTube videos I may get somewhere. Either way it's cute. And makes a pretty noise. Kinda like an old school music box.

I received my Kalimba 2 days ago, I really love it so far. It looks nice, is lightweight, easy to hold, and sounds pretty. I am a complete beginner so I don't already know how to play, but this is a comfortable brand and seems like an easy to learn instrument (YouTube videos are helpful). I like the case it feels like it will protect it well, only thing that bothers me is the spot where the tuning hammer is, it kind of slides when I am putting the Kalimba back int it and it gets in the way and I'm afraid it might scrape the back of the kalimba.I bought the one with hand grooves but I couldn't compare to any other since this is my first Kalimba.Anyway I'm really happy with my purchase and excited to learn.

I purchased this for my sister for her birthday, and she loves it. That's good enough for me :-D It has good sound and is able to be tuned, and as she learns how to play it, I'm not going insane listening to it. It is a great gift, or for anyone who has their heart set on playing a good Kalimba.Edit: I finally got one for me, and I really did my research of tone, quality, holding up, ease of learning.I LOVE THIS KALIMBA!!! It has a gorgeous tone. I tuned the notes by ear using the little hammer thingie (didn't even read the instructions) and then matched it to my sister's. Wow! HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Bought this for my husband. He was very impressed with it’s sound and everything that came with it. He said his only disappointment was that he was finding the hole too big to ‘wow’ with his thumb (hope this makes sense). But he was overall happy with the item.

Es evidente que el material de la madera es de baja calidad sin embargo no interfiere con la resonancia del sonido. Es muy fácil de entender y de acomodarse a tus manos. Pensé que no venía incluido el martillo para afinar el instrumento sin embargo estaba escondido dentro del estuche. Le doy puntos extra por todo el paquete que incluye dentro del estuche.

Been wanting a kalimba for a while because the sound is just so amazing. Scrolled around for a while before finding this specific seller and I'm glad I did. I am in live with this teal stain. The whole instrument is beautiful. Great quality and feels like it'll last a nice long while. Definitely worth the money and I would even pay more for it.Comes with basically everything you need for a great beginners/starters kit. Love that it comes with thumb guards because I had quite weak skin, definitely a great bonus.Delivery was great and exactly when they said it would be delivered. Good packaging around the instrument to keep it safe in the journey.
