This is a great little module.

My review is for the Boost&Buck--5V~30V to DC 0.6V~30V. Look at my picture to make sure we're talking about the same one as there are 4 or 5 different models listed together. This one has the input barrel plug and screw terminals on the left, output USB and screw terminals on the right, and four buttons at the bottom running horizontal.***Right up front: I love it. It works great. It's easy. 3D printable case file was easy to find.***The quality isn't the best, but maybe it gets squished around in the envelope on the way to your house? Don't try bending anything. It works fine. Think about the price and where it comes from. The unit came with a QR code that fetches you the instructions download. Super, but the instructions are for a different module. I wanted to find a link for the exact instructions for you people, but I actually couldn't. No big deal. I already said the module is easy to use. It took maybe 10 minutes to figure it out; that's it. Oh, it's easy to lock and unlock the screen. I'm not telling you how. Waste your own 2-3 frustrating minutes figuring out how you accidentally locked it. You can do it!The unit will get hot over ~2 amps. That heat sink will burn your finger. Put a little PC fan next to it (for the university engineers on here that can't use their own brain for wire sizes etc, it doesn't matter what size fan). This is not a "con". Stuff gets hot. Your wife's scentsy pots get hot, and I bet you've got those all over your house, right? Well, stick a fan on it or stay under ~2 amps constant current. Or don't, whatever.I have a 12v 5A laptop style charger with a barrel plug as my input. The input side screw terminals steal 0.25A (from the laptop barrel plug input) to power the fan I was talking about. The screen matches the readout on my multimeter. I tested it as a power source for a fan and LED's. I also tested charging a couple 18650 batteries. It also ran a Pi 4.I bought this to charge my golf kart batteries that got a little wonky over the winter. There are 6 large batteries at 8v each running in series in a golf kart. A few were low enough that my OEM charger wouldn't work. Over a few days this little module got all of them back to 8.8v (3 of the batteries were connected at a time in parallel). Some other reviewers are murky or straight up incorrect about some of the features and settings:-The output is "off" by default. Press the "Stop" button to turn the output on/off.-You 100% CAN change the output default to "on".-The constant current (cc) output feature can be turned on/off.-The display will tell you the input voltage and output voltage. Use the buttons.-The display will tell you the output in A, W, A/hr, and W/hr. Use the buttons.-The display will tell you the voltage of the battery you are charging. It's not made very well, gets hot, and has no instructions. So what? Works great, 5 stars.

Great product. Very versatile

Very easy to use and quite versatile. I tested this for driving various heating wires/tapes, high power LEDs, charging lithium batteries, and even controlling a ZVS driver. I've found it to have very stable current and voltage regulation over a range of output currents (500mA to over 12A), and it has an efficiency of around 86-91% in the cases I tested. Overall it is a very robust and useful little module and well worth the money.

Easy to use portable power supply

This is a nice little power supply I can take with me where ever I go. It plugs into my laptop's USB port and supplies power through the power output block. I can use it to run various small projects, or use it to charge batteries. It can also connect to Micro-USB and Type C for power input. The voltage converter seemed complicated at first, but it's pretty easy to use. There is one button for output on/off, one button for display mode (voltage, amperage, power, or cycle between), one knob for voltage adjustment, one knob for current adjustment, then one button for fast charging protocol (Trig button, haven't played much with this but plan to). You adjust the voltage you want, connect your project and away you go. I also checked its voltage and seems pretty accurate. i tried several voltage levels and all were correct. By the way, the U is actually a V for voltage, A is for Amps, and P is for power. Overall, I like it. It does everything I need for a portable power supply. It may not be able to run large projects, but that's a limit of the power USB can supply. However for small projects and battery charging, it works great.

Remember that Buck Converters are sensitive to high amperage.

This Buck Converter is very reliable for getting the necessary Voltage for a device that requires high voltage, but not so many amps. This is very convenient for regulating the amount of volts and amps available for your application. The display on this Buck Converter is incredibly accurate. When I compared it to my Fluke 73 III Lincoln Tech Multimeter, I was surprised that the measurements were almost the same. It's so convenient that I don't need my multimeter just to make sure that I'm getting the proper voltage and amps that I would need for any personal project. And this can help you save money on purchasing additional adapters for certain high voltage devices by configuring this Buck Converter with the proper AC adapter that provides the right amount of amps that can help you get the volts necessary to supply the electricity needed to operate your different devices and help you learn and understand how Buck Converters and why they are important in many different electronics. 😊 😊 😊
