Have a Question? See What Others Asked

how many inches does the rod stick out pass the point of the bracket that locks in. my trim on one side of the window butts up to a wall.
Nothing happens when i "tighten" the knob. it just spins. there's a white pencil-like piece inside that just spins. Did i get a dud? Help?
What is the diameter of the rod on the 24-48 inch rod??
Where does it mount

Beautiful but.....

The finial projection was too long for our corner and tan into the adjacent wall so we had to return it. I would recommend the Amazon marketing description include the length of bracing edge to finial tip

Love the design. Went up easily and stayed.

These things are great! So far, they are holding. I'm glad there is a screw hole just in case, but so far so good. I would imagine if you have extremely heavy curtains, these may need some additional support.

Worked great

Very pleased with this, bought it to put up blackout curtains in an apartment. I’m now moving out two years later and it has stayed up in place the entire time with no damage to the walls.

It might be the best option, good luck

Don’t waste your time with this one. It doesn’t achieve its only job of staying up, even without a curtain. If they made it a tension that that might work, but it’s not. And even if it did stay up, it looks like crap, cheap plastic finials with cheap looking paint that will probably arrive scratched like mine.**Edit: Since Amazon told me to keep it rather than return, I decided what the heck, may as well give it another go. After much effort, I DID get it to stay up. And it has stayed up fine for the past few months with just a light shear curtain! It isn't the best looking, but in my case it was really the best option. The bathroom wall is completely tiled and I wasn't about to drill through the beautiful tiles to hang a curtain rod. And all the stick-on rod options looked terrible. So I guess I am happy enough with my purchase.

If Installing by Yourself

I just installed this product by myself. I tried putting the rod up first without the curtains in order to understand how it works without the curtains complicating things. I extended the rod as far as it would go and turned it to tighten it. But I DID NOT use the fine adjustment using the finial yet, as others mentioned having problems with repeated use of it. I was able to get a pretty tight fit without turning the finial. If I recall correctly, the instructional video has one tighten the rod before putting it flush against the right side. The rod turns free of the fixture on the right side that mounts to the wall, so one can actually put it against the right side of the wall to get a reasonably tight fit before turning the rod to tighten it. I was then able to check and readjust the left side to make sure it was flush to the wall. I found this to be helpful because I didn't have the heavy blackout curtains obstructing my view of the left side and knew that fine adjustment may be needed on that side. I then put the curtains on and repeated the above steps. I was able to, again, check the left side to confirm that it was flush with the curtains on and then tighten using the finial. I turned the finial about 3 times until it stopped. Not including the dry run without the curtains, it took about 10 minutes to install. Based on what others are saying, I think the tighter the fit one can get before fine tuning using the finial, the less likely one will have a problem with the finial. In the event that one does have a problem, read the 4 star Amazon review (dated 4/30/20) that mentions how to take the rod apart. (I haven't tried it, but it helped make me feel better in getting this product, as it explains what to do in case there's a problem; the same reviewer makes a good observation that size of window in relation to rod length may negatively impact stability -- having about 6 inches, or more in excess length is preferred.) The width I needed is 70 inches. Thus, I got the longer size. (48"-84"). It appears to be pretty stable provided one doesn't yank hard on it. The curtains are pretty heavy. If it falls, or I have any problems with it, I'll post an update.

Surprised

I actually did not think this would work. But to my surprise it did. The installation was a little hard for me, but I saw that you have to download an app for directions? So I just figured it out myself. It hasn't fallen as of yet.The little knob that says tighten keeps spinning so I'm not sure what's up with that.
