What is the difference between this and the white one listed on Bissells website?

I love asking these questions! It's just a reminder to the execs that we aren't all sheep.

I love my current Bissell but I want to upgrade and I have found a lot of models, brand name or not , have good ratings, a huge variety of tools, a price frame that could span the grand canyon, and no real information in their ads to sway us one way or the other.

Now I don't own either of these models yet, but I had the blue and white one in my list, until I just happened on to this one. So hopefully this will help as well as get you to compare to other brands to see what other choices you might have.
1) attachments: we all say cool when we see them. Especially a new one! But humor me for a minute and picture your vacuum. Vacuums all come with gadgets. Now, where are your vacuums gadgets? When was the last time you used all of them? However you answer that is exactly how much weight you should put on attachments as a selling point here.
2. Steam level and temp: I have found some models have variable temperature and steam levels for you to customize your settings while others have low med high. But if all you plan to do is the the floor and maybe the bathroom on/off would work. And that fancy upgrade will cost you extra, and I'm not ready to trust an off brand with a $200 purchase yet myself. 
3. Water tank: the third feature that makes a difference is the water storage tank. How much water do you want it to hold ? Idk for sure but I would image we shouldn't leave a lot of water in it between uses so again you have a one bedroom apt?  Basic model should work for you. Plan on experimenting on every crevice of your property? You should probably fork over the extra for an industrial level item. Not this one.

Would I be able to use this to clean a mattress?

Thou I haven’t tried it myself I would say def would be able to use on a mattress. I used it to disinfect my sofas. Just make sure you are constantly moving and do not keep in one spot for too long to avoid any wet spots and getting your mattress or sofa too wet. Use the attachment and should do the trick.

What is the power or pressure of the steamer?

The trick I’ve found is to let the machine warm up for a few minutes. There are two settings. Be sure to use the highest one unless dealing with a fragile surface.

I’ve used the machine for a year and am really impressed given the price. Someday I may upgrade to a fancy $600+ one…but, this works really well.

I’ve used it for WHITE (what were we thinking!) grout, sealed wood, and slate outdoor tile.

Also, have used it for hard to reach window sills and car cleaning once. I didn’t have as much luck with those, but might have just been first time newbie error.

I’m wondering if people who found there was no power overfilled their units with water, didn’t turn on the steam function, or had defective unit heating elements.

Mine Bissell visibly steams and hisses…and extremely hot to the touch. If that isn’t the case I’d contact customer service.

What is the difference between this and the 2075A and why is this model not listed on the Bissell website?

I bought this one. It's the exact same as the 2075, except they market it differently. The one I got stopped working after 4 days. When I called customer service at bissell, I was told this model is only available in Canada. I'm waiting for the replacement now. They're sending the 2075 instead of this one. Which is fine with me, they have the same specs.
