It opens the door
Supposed to be compatible with our older Overhead Door brand opener and it does open and close the door. However, the light button does not turn on the light and the lock button does not function. The big button is a ruse, it still uses the tiny micro switch that they all use. And you must hit directly in the center of the button for it to actually activate the door. It feels very flimsy and will not tolerate any abuse whatsoever. I would not buy this particular switch again.

Works as advertised.
Update to previous review.I found a lose wire on the ceiling mounted door opener. Once fixed this device began working again. So far it works as advertised. I like how easy it is to use. Just a gentle touch is all that's needed to operate.

Used this on a Chamberlin opener
I used this opener button as an additional button at the bottom of the steps the go down to the floor level of my garage. I connected it in parallel with the button at the top of the steps. Now the garage opener can be operated using either opener button. The light and lock functions also work from either controller.The only difference between this button and the one that came with my opener is the light behind the button is brighter.
