Horizon Zero Dawn The Board Game: The Sacred Land Expansion

Really enjoying this game based on the Horizon video game. It really does a great job at being faithful to the video games world while being a fun to experience board game. The models are really well crafted and I imagine would be great to paint (I have not had time to do this yet). This specific product is an expansion to the main board game so you would need to first purchase that before you can use this but it basically acts as a new boss fight at the end of the main games adventure. It has a new boss figure, a new board and some new action cards for how the boss fights.

Not more than a week after playing the core game here I am, buying more and this expansion has not disappointed.New characters, new enemies and a totally new set of board pieces and mechanics (zipline and water). Plus traps and merchant cards.Really enjoyed this. Took 4 hours to play in one sitting but it was a good hunt.I’m just going to now confess to the wife what I’ve done. But it was for the child too.

Bought this one for the Thunderjaw miniature and it's okay. A little fiddly to put together, legs kept falling off but seems sturdy now that it's on the base. The edges suffer from soft cheese syndrome, just as they do in the core game minis, but perhaps because this one is much larger it doesn't look too bad.I did not play the board game, so I can't review that part.

Christmas gift

A great addition to the already excellent board game. That said, the instructions are really quite poor, but managed to work our way through to understand what we need to do (specifically thinking around the disc throwers, doesn’t tell you in the instructions where or when you can use these but all of sudden comes into play when playing…).The miniature itself is excellent quality and rivals even the sacred games workshop miniatures. If you love the original board game, you’ll love this also.

This review is nothing against the sellers, more the manufacturer.I've ordered 3 different times, from different sellers and each item received a broken figure.I'm assuming there is a fault in the making or packaging process on a manufacturer level.That being said, each seller has delt with the return and refund great 👍1

Can’t wait to get stuck in.Box is well put together for easy storage and the minis are great. Cards are good quality as are game boardsTook us a lot longer than the recommended game time but I guess that will speed up the more we play.Will definitely be getting more of these
