Replaced my factory oval speakers on Silverado 2018. Fits great and feels solid.

The 2 pieces seem good. They fit my 2024 Malibu even though Amazon wants me in big red letters that it does not. I'm not happy about the fact that there are no screws or hardware of any kind with them. My Malibu has 2 empty 6x9 spots that I ordered these to install into. Obviously there is no existing hardware to reuse.

I likes the fact that these are specifically made for the application which makes it easier to upgrade the factory speakers. The only issues that I had was that the tolerances of the fitment could have been a little closer. I had no choice to put sound dampening material around the opening to ensure that the speaker didn't flop around in the door. Secondly only 2 of the mounting holes actually lined up for installation and the other 2 had to be drilled to secure the speaker properly. With that said the positive thing is that these are made of a much more rigid material that most other brands out there. Another plus is that they seem to be almost the exact height for mounting, which leaves very little gap between the speaker and the door panel. I added 1/4 × 1/4 inch weather stripping to seal that gap to help with door panel vibrations. Overall a good product.

Amazon says this product won’t fit my 2024 Traverse. It does.

These are the right ones for the pos of a setup, chevy has in the 2015 2500hd with 6x9s in the front doors. It does NOT have bose and it does not have navigation, base LT package with plow prep package that's it. Less crap to break for sure. The problem though is on the factory speaker there is a insulation/foam ring on top of the oem speaker/bracket/all in one pos, that ring goes between the speaker and the plastic door panel. Which in turns presses out and holds the door panel from rattling. I have replaced a lot of speakers in a lot of brands of vehicles and this by far is a s**t worthless setup. This is a prime example of how cheap and fast they want to put these vehicles together but still charge 50K for them. So If you are upgrading this setup, why your ready my novel, your going to have to get creative and figure out something to achieve what the oem turd did. I haven't taken the panel back apart yet to fix. I am going to try that self adhesive foam, comes in a roll for 4 bucks or so at wally world, for doorways or window to a/c units. Also will have to use electric tape or dyna mat between this bracket and the metal door frame to tighten up that fit, so that does not rattle. plus I ran 2 extra sheet metal screws through bracket into metal. Your taking a hell of chance every time you pull that door panel off you don't break any wire harness or the panel itself. I also used an epoxy between speaker and bracket. Just know if you pop the new speakers just buy another set of brackets :-) that's all I got to say about that. Sorry metra for the 3 stars but If you make these particular brackets then you should know this is 1/2 assed but you do make em and price wasn't horrible so theres the 3 stars
