Does not pass through eARC audio format to audio outputs
I purchased this in hopes that it would pass Dolby Atmos to both my sound bar and my HDMI wireless headphones. Unfortunately, while it does accept the eARC signal from my TV, it will only pass through standard stereo audio over the HDMI audio out and optical out.3 stars because of the build quality and overall functionality, but it did not meet my specific need so I returned it.

VERY CHEAPLY MADE - POOR QC - CHEAP INPUT & SWITCH COMPONENTS
OVERPRICED! Unfortunately, very poor components: both the optical input and EDID switch. Optical input physically very unstable. Optical solder points are all that mounts the op. input switch. Buyer beware. EDID switch very low quality/cheap and does not have the feel of stopping on any of the audio output choices (slides across the switch). I did not anticipate receiving an audiophile/high-end version of an HDMI extractor but this is low-end only. I was so concerned about the op. input and EDID switch that I chose NOT to turn it on so I wouldn't accidentally damage my home theater system from something shorting out. I suggest checking out J-Tech or something further up the food chain. OVERPRICED!
