Q: I paint on semi prescious stones and am looking for a finish that would protect the art work. Could this product work for this purpose?

I don't have experience with stones. I work with polymer clays and I can say that the finish and durability is amazing. Glossy finish. Can also be used as an adhesive for pieces.

no. it dries clear/glossy hence the name

Q: can it be used as a glue for embellishments

Yes it can. It dries clear and is very sticky. However It does depend what material you are gluing on to. Have fun using this. It's so much fun.
