Tespo Wire Storage Cubes Modular Shelving Unit DIY Metal Grid Closet Organizer System, Bookcase, Cabinet (12 Cubes)

I ordered this to organize my young son's stuff which was a mess all over his room! The closet where this stands now was a dumping ground and hiding place for what you didn't want anyone to see. Then I ordered this unit, one by one, I assembled the cubes, my son even helped me to put it together. It truly doesn't require tools- you only need the connectors for the panels. The instructions sheet was incorrect for this unit but we figured it out anyway. I wasn't sure what the difference was between this unit by Tespo and the Whitmor ones that are sold everywhere, but instead of buying bulky furniture, this type of modular arrangement works out better for me because it can be taken apart easily. My biggest worry was how much weight this can hold and whether it will be able to hold all of my son's books, binders, junk, toys...etc and it did without collapsing. I did however check the weight limit for each cube as I didn't want this to buckle and it didn't. I think I am very satisfied with this versus others that would have been a pain to build. This was a solution for all the stuff that now looks tidy and organized. Initially I thought 12 cubes would be a lot, but you really do need every bit of storage you can get. Thank you Tespo!

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this set to make a custom rabbit cage and I could not be happier. I threw in some pieces of of old flooring and tomorrow I'm adding a cover on the ramp so he doesn't hurt his paws and now I have a nice little bunny condo!!

The assembly is a little bit tricky at the beginning, but you can handle it smoothly once you get the hang of it. It took me about half an hour to manage it, though, the stuff turns strong, which is far beyond my expectation. When you assemble it, try to keep it tight as tightly as possible!!The best thing of this product is that I am free to assemble whatever cubes I like. I didn't follow the product picture to make it a 4 by 3 bookshelf. Instead, I made it into three pieces of storage - a shoes shelf, a basket, and a storage by the bed! You can see from the pictures how flexible and how much you can get from this cool product. After building the three sets of storage, I still have some extra grids left for future use!!!!

The wire components are a little on the flimsy side for this type of shelf unit. Also, the corner connectors are too flexible. This plus side to the flexible connectors is that they don't break during assembly (as with the Whitmor unit I've also bought) ... but they also allow the unit to "spontaneously disassemble" if any kind of weight is added to it. (And I'm not talking about a lot of weight here; I'm using this to store only folded clothing and a few shoes.) My solution was to also [in addition to using the connectors] zip-tie all of the grids together to form the cubes and the cubes together to form the complete unit. Time-consuming, but necessary.

Used for a few weeks now and it's able to fit a lot of my items that I had lying around. I've been using it for a few textbooks, many boxes, paperwork, and other items. It's been holding nicely, with some bending showing for heavier items, but not enough to change anything.When assembling, these metal wires can snap with enough force so be careful when using them (it comes with a wooden mallet so it helps to push them into the connectors). Once you hear 2 clicks, no more force is needed. My method was applying force with my hands to insert the corners of the wires into the connectors, which will hurt your hands a bit when done, then use the mallet to make sure each corner is securely inside.Overall, it has fit my needs as extra space to clean my room up and for $50 it's good on a budget if you need all 12 cubes (plus space on top if you want to put items up there too). I highly recommend putting your heaviest items in the bottom and the lightest items on the rest.

This is a great product. I have ordered it a couple times. My only complaint is that they do not have enough connectors if you change the configuration. For the 12 unit kit, if you do a 12 cube in one unit they provide what you need. If you want to do a 6 cube/6 cube or 4 cube/8 cube, you will not have enough. That is fine if there was a way to purchase additional connectors but the only link I could find points to an item that no longer exists on amazon. Their web site is not functional, so I emailed them via amazon and they responded that they would send me some for free. I am not looking for free connectors (not foolish enough to say no) but they really need to have an option to add additional connectors to your order. I have about 26 extra panels from multiple orders that need connectors to create more units. The reviews an other connectors are not good or clear if they will work with Tespo. Great product that just needs a way to add additional connectors to order.

Terrible quality and difficult to put together due to shoddy design. Sounds easy on paper, but connecting the metal grids with the flimsy plastic connectors makes for a big headache. Hurt my hands many times trying to jam the grids into the slots, and generally when I got one grid in than another one that I had previously connected came out. I also broke a few of the connectors trying to put it together. Fortunately, the package I bought came with a few extras. When I finally put what I could of the shelving unit together it didn't sit flat at all, with a noticeable bump at the top shelf. The only reason this has 2 rather than 1 star rating is because when I put items on the shelf it held the weight really well. If only everything else worked just as well...
