Q: Can this driver control a 200 step/revolution motors? I only see 400 as the smallest number on the steps/rev setup.

Indeed, it can. Most are listed as 200. The way I understand it, this type of driver converts the motor into any of the steps you set the output to. I may be wrong on that, but I ran a Nema 23 200 step using this with no issues. If you’re using something like Arduino to control it, just set your steps to 400 in the code.

Q: How many stepper motors can this driver take? I need one for at least 2.

One DM556T can only drive one stepper motor. if you have 2 stepper motors, you have to buy two stepper motor drivers.

Q: Can the controlling signal be passed via Arduino ?

I believe it can be passed by Arduino. Look into the forums

Q: Are there heatsinks on these drivers?

Mine has a heat sink built into the backside.
