Pro Co Sound IT8A Rack Mount 8-Channel Isolation Unit

This is a fairly simple design - 8 male XLR inputs connected to 8 isolation transformers that then connect to 8 XLR outputs. Here's the problem: the 8 isolation transformers are not screwed into the chassis. Instead they are affixed with two-sided sticky tape (hard to wrap my head around this) to the chassis floor. Not surprisingly, during shipment the transformers broke loose from the sticky tape and then just knocked about inside the chassis. On arrival, every single transformer had broken wires off the soldered connections to either the XLR inputs or outputs or both. It's never good when you open the box and hear internal parts clunking around in the case. Only the ground wires were sturdy enough to withstand the bending back and forth caused by the free floating transformers during shipment. The build quality here is just incredibly shoddy! I thought about re-soldering, which would have been about 15-20 connections, but why? The connection wires are very thin gauge; the chassis is cheap; the transformers weren't even screwed into the chassis; so how durable can the transformers themselves be? To charge over $600 for this is wrong. I'd estimate that the parts here cost less than $100, and even if you can live with that, you cannot live with the build quality.I will try some of the single in-line isolation transformers as an alternative, but you should not waste your money and effort on this product. In fact, the quality is so cheap, that I will steer well clear of Pro Co in the future. I have bought products for years from Amazon, and this is the very first product that I have returned. It is insultingly bad. Assuming that it magically had arrived intact, I cannot imagine it lasting across even the most delicate of moves - such as installation into an equipment rack.
