Great little radio to use pretty much any time. The reception is amazing and sound clarity is spot on. Once fully charged the battery lasts for quite a few hours. I've used it outside while working on cars and even camping. It's SD and USB compatibility make it so useful I could go on and on about it's uses. I'll just say it was a very good purchase and I plan on using it all the time. I don't know how it will handle being roughed around but I shall update my review with updates.I do a lot of research for all of my purchases so I enjoy helping people save time and make informed decisions on there purchases, That is why I take the time to write about my experiences. Okay first I gotta say the marketing pictures towards old dudes is comical. That aside I needed a means to hear local over-the-air (OTA) radio while working in the kitchen. My smartphone or tablet had the right apps but not the speaker volume. Wired headphones was not an option for safety reasons. Blue tooth ear buds were possible but I didn't want my hearing obstructed again for safety. The volume on this was such a huge improvement over previous devices and when cranked up travelled beyond my kitchen station. All the function buttons worked fine, search for stations worked fine and so did the memory expansion. I'd avoid dropping it to the floor but it's been tipped/dropped over a few times at counter height from rough handling and no problem. So, even if your not an old dude (or even one who is) this works and is a good value. This after 3 months.

Father-in-law wanted a new radio, so I got this for him. I have used this a few times since receiving it about 10 days ago. Here are some quick impressions:- The radio is small enough to fit in my pant pockets. So, it is quite portable and easy to take around with me.- There is a Mode button on the front to switch between different modes. I was able to connect to all three signals: FM, AM, and Shortwave. However, all car radios and most smartphones these days also come with built-in FM radios. So, this radio is more useful when hiking or traveling in remote areas. That is where I see it being more useful than in the cities.- The radio also plays music from SD card or USB. So, the extra music listening options is great.- The 3watt speaker delivers loud sound, which is great considering the small size of the radio. The sound is quite clear when the radio is being used outside the city limits, into rural areas. However, when I use it within the city limits to listen to FM stations, there is quite a bit of static or disturbance, possibly due to frequency laps since there are so many FM stations in city limits. But, I am quite satisfied with the overall performance.- While the radio performs well overall, I have one important concern. This radio uses a rechargeable battery that is quite small. So, I don't know how long that will last. And, the product description does not mention whether replacement batteries are available for purchase. The battery is of a slightly odd size, so I am not sure I can find it in a nearby store. Including that information would be helpful for customers.

Upon taking it out of the box, it looked very well made to me. Wasn't sure if it came fully charged so I connected the included usb cable to a wall charger I had, and within an hour it was charged. There seems to be confusion regarding the charging lights. What I've witnessed is a red light, immediately upon connection to the wall outlet. After one hour the light changed to bright blue, indicating a complete charge. I then inserted a 32G SD-TF card with 2000 of my favorite tunes. (When I checked the properties after transferring the files, there was still 58% free space. It would be no problem loading 5000+ songs onto this 32G card. That's a lot of commercial-free music!!) The keypad is great too. Your music will play in alphabetical order. There is no random play but if you are looking for a specific track, just key in the number. or you can track forward and reverse using the arrow keys. I then set it down, put it on low volume and walked away. This was at 10:00am. By 3:00am the battery was completely depleted. That's 17 hours of continuous play on a full charge!! I was very impressed. A complete recharge took exactly 4 hours. AM, FM, SW and USB all worked fine with no issues. I saved the best for last. The sound coming out of this thing is amazing!! It's only 3 watts but crystal clear, ambient and distortion free. Don't take me literally Amazon but this radio could easily sell for $75-$100, that's how good it is. Very satisfied with this purchase. Quick shipping too!

I Love this little radio but don't let the size fool you it packs a powerful sound with plenty of features. Its great to put in your pocket for music on on the go, news etc.. Its very light weight and good looking too; sturdy quality product and the price is unbeatable! Easy to use I just followed the simple instructions, You can scan and save your favorite channels there are lots of them. Good AM/FM reception and along with AM, FM, this little radio can function as a mp3 player; you just plug in your MP3 music and it acts as a speaker.My eyesight isn't that good anymore so I really like the easy to see buttons in nice large print. No batteries to buy just recharge when needed it will last for 6-8 hours. I highly recommend this little radio it would also make a great gift for someone.
