I use these as pencil holders. Being adjustable in height makes them practical for different types and sizes of utensils. I chose them because they're transparent. This keeps me from having to open all of them up every time I go through a random bag search at my job and makes it easier to identify what's inside without labels.To the designer/maker, I have one feature request that would make these nearly perfect IMO. Is it possible to extend the sliding lock channel on the side of the lower section so it goes all the way down? That might result in a tiny notch being removed from the very bottom. This shouldn't compromise the structure or free-standing stability and it wouldn't require any holes or take away from internal space. THE BOTTOM LINE: This would allow me to remove the lid, flip it upside down, and then insert it into the lower section from the bottom up, leaving at least half an inch of the lower section exposed at the top. This exposed section is important because you need something to grab when you pull them apart. Why ask you to go through all this trouble? Simple. When I'm using 2 or 3 of these at the same time, the lids end up taking up deskspace themselves. Then they become a nuisance. I'd be first in line to get one. Just saying.
