I'm about to leave for Japan for 2 weeks and it's been snowing heavily there, along with my warmer clothes packed, I decided I'd need a newer torch for my night photography than I previously purchased as technology has improved over the years.This torch came in a great plastic "peli" type case that makes storage and travel easier to protect against any knocks and bumps. A spare 18650 means I shouldn't ever be caught short without light and the mains charger charges a single battery in around 4.5 hours.The beam on this torch is adjustable to a strongest beam (square) to a wider projected throw of a round beam.This torch is so bright you can see it in daylight (Although I am currently in the UK where its constantly overcast!) At night you see the beam like you would a laser pointer. That's how powerful it is, and the instructions come with a warning.. Don't shine it in people's eyes, especially at the narrowest beam setting (square).

EDIT:Following my review below (one star), the seller contacted me and offered to send me a replacement. They didn't ask me to change the review. It arrived and has the extra bits mentioned in the ad. The battery has changed from what I originally recieved and this huge capacity one does fit in their charger.I was very impressed that they contacted me, because my purchase date was a while ago. (I'd been using another one for work.) I was slightly less impressed with the number of emails I've had asking if everything is ok. (And yes the seller maybe a father of three, but we've all got lives.)Anyway. I've altered the stars to reflect the foc replacment. Just check what you get. The torch seems very bright (don't leave it on; it gets a bit hot!) It arrived partially-charged which was nice.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Firstly I got the box, a torch, two batteries, a wall-socket charger. Not the USB etc etc chargers that was promised.Secondly, the batteries do not fit in the wall-socket charger. So I either need to buy one of those chargers (£13+ on Amazon) or the torch is worthless once the batteries drain.Typical Chinese false-advertisng. I don't believe half the reviews on here either (I know many companies will refund the purchase price for a five star review with pictures). I pay for my items, my reviews are genuine.So get the Vasanky torch. No, it isn't quite as bright but it has an adapter so you can use 3 AAA batteries.Only good thing to say about this torch was the battery lasted a while. But that's pretty useless if you can't recharge it. Normally I'd go back to the seller but I don't have that option on the store page.

First thing to say is that this item comes in a sturdy plastic box which has 4 snap shut clips, and a padded interior.The light is solid and feels well made, and comes with 2 rechargable batteries, even though only 1 is needed. This means that you can keep a spare one in case you run out in the middle of a trip. Its very versatile as it will also take standard AA batteries if you prefer.The light is very bright and can either be focused on a point, or variably altered to be less focused and more gently lights a wider area.Overall i think this is a great product for a variety of uses.

I bought this flashlight for walking home after work down dark country lane now the nights are getting longer.The build quality is excellent, very sturdy, and the power and zooming capability is perfect for my needs.I was impressed that the torch also came with a carry case (similar to a gun case) and a number of ways to charge,m including 12V car socket, USB, and 13Amp wall socket, as well as a carry pouch that admittedly i dont really use.Overall impressed and would recommend or buy again.

With reference to the below Comment i.am happy to state that Shadowhawk team has addressed my concern and have shipped me a new flashlight that meets all the specificatiins of the flashlight as advertised ..thanks to the Shadowhawk team they looked into the reason why the flashlight shipped to me earlier had problems and took interest in resolving my issue.I recommend Shadiwhawk for its powerful beam of light as well as the durability it gives ..have recommended my colleagues who are nature enthusiastic and campers ..I purchased two Shadowhawk Torches in the last six months ,I did find out that the charger or the battery is not proper ,as however you charge it still stays on red,and its a 26500 or 5000MAH battery how long does that take to charge ,even after ten hours charge its still red and i have to recharge after a few days use .I had purchased two torches of a different manufacturer and the charger was fine and it gave the proper indication and the batteries though 18650 it was good to use.I hope Shadow hawk pays attention to their chargers or to the batteries they provide and i hope i do get a reply on wats wrong with my charger or batery and hope a replacement is provided

Excellent really really bright torchOnly shame is it has a weak belt/ webbing case. So I’ll probably have to buy one. Battery has not run out at time of writing. Feels solidly made and when dropped shows no sign of being harmed. I have confidence with this bit of kit and and happy it will last- definitely this year and probably the next five years with occasional use. Daily use or if you are going to give it a rough time i think it will fair better than lots of products out there but the weak point is the sliding function for the focus. Its a great feature to be able to spread out the beam or have a focused beam for longer distance but I suspect that it is this feature that will break first. but for day to day looking about in the loft or out in the woods with dog this is well above the spec required.
