I bought this as a replacement for my right analog stick that went bad. It took some precision application and patience but it works! *** Anything off or misaligned by a tiny amount will cause failure and being too forceful will tear or break components ***Let me first give the precursor that installation is not for the average person. It takes focus, patience, and attention to detail. You have to completely disassemble the controller(s) which means disconnecting and reconnecting many fine ribbons and connectors that are fragile. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone inexperienced with small electronics. The instructions are in video form on a website that you follow a QR code for. They do go over everything but they do assume more advanced knowledge of electronics as it is casual. In my case I didn't realize the dome cap for my stick had some scratches around the edges so I had to sand it to smooth it out (the cat knocked the go of the counter, that's why the stick failed).Performing the calibration is very simple. Just hold the right trigger and right stick button down for six seconds. When the stick light turns blue, let go. The light ring will stay blue and will start rotating clockwise, then just rotate the stick clockwise a few times and let go again. Then you can go into the legion space app to calibration and verify.

They are amazing. Much better than stock. A needed upgrade. It helps with precision. Highly recommended.

While doing research on the Legion Go I read a review that stated they installed these and it improved their experience. I played for a bit with the stock joysticks and would often get frustrated because of the lack of control I felt with them.After reading many reviews about these joysticks I decided to give them a shot and I am very glad I did. Installing them isn’t too difficult; just follow the video that comes up after scanning the QR code included with them. If you take your time and don’t force anything then installation is straightforward. I would recommend watching the video all the way through at least once before beginning for a better understanding. I didn’t do that and had to pause and rewind a lot; I wish I had taken the time to view it before beginning and it would have been even smoother.If you want tighter control and a smoother gameplay then I highly recommend these. They have improved my gaming experience with the Legion Go and am very confident they will for you too.

Overall, the process is easy for those who are used to taking apart electronics, but will be more advanced for those who are not accustom to taking things apart or do not have patience. The thumbsticks operate okay and to be honest I don't really feel any differences between the stock thumbsticks and the HandheldDYI thumbsticks. Maybe slight more tension? To be honest I was expecting much more. I have decided to keep them installed since I do not want to go through taking apart the controllers to send them back. Overall, I will leave it up to you to decided if you should do this or not. I really like this upgrade because the stock joysticks felt too loose. The difference in tension is nice and when installed, the tighter sticks have the same 1.8 to 2% of error as the stock sticks. I highly recommend looking up the video guide on installation by OKestGamer on Youtube. Because this mod is not easy if you don't have experience with opening electronics or toys. Because each controller is separate, you need to be cautious of many small screws and ribbon cables, you must be careful and follow the video guide closely. Luckily, HandheldDIY provides the tools you need in this joystick kit. The only other thing you might need is a PH 1 screwdriver which hopefully you already have because it is common. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this product and will be purchasing another set to mod on my second set of Legion Go Controllers.
