Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 16GB (newest model) – Our fastest Kindle ever, with new 7" glare-free display and weeks of battery life – Raspberry

This is my first Kindle Reader. Was hesitant after reading some of the reviews. This had everything I could possibly want in a simple Kindle. A few features in others I just didn't need, so I purchased this 7" Kindle in teal. The price was fantastic. Into day 3, I'm loving it. Nice bright white, no yellow at the bottom. Pages turn quick & so easy to download books. I can take it anywhere & continue with the series I started a few months back. Never thought I would change from reading paperbacks. Well, I'm sold on this Paper White. Perfect size to carry with me, not heavy but still has a little weight. Easy to hold & I purchased a cover that instantly turns the unit on when opened. Nice feature, also protects the screen. Glad I waited for this new Paper White to come out. The only con that I see, & if anyone can tell me different, I can't flip back to the previous page (just in case I missed something). A great purchase overall. Also took the 3 month kindle book offer. So it you're looking for a sweet deal on a reader, don't look any further.

While I have been using the Kindle app on various devices for years, this is the first actual Kindle device I've used. The difference between using the app on a phone or tablet vs on an actual Kindle is night and day -- I can use it for hours without any eye strain. The lighting has a wide adjustment range that allows for clear reading regardless if the room is bright or dark, or if I'm outside vs inside.Usage is about as simple as it can get, and the page flipping is quick and less intrusive than when I use the Kindle app on a tablet. The fit and finish is also well done. It is a lightweight device, but it has a nice, solid feel to it. I got it in the green color, and it's a nice shade (although I can't really see the color since I also picked up a cover for it).My only disappointment was the limited number of titles of interest in the Kindle Unlimited subscription. I won't be renewing it once my trial period is over. But in terms of the Kindle device itself, outstanding!

I go through one or two books a week easy with this little device.Ebooks have revolutionized the publishing industry, and if you are a reader, the Kindle may be exactly what you’re looking for. If you read many ebooks on your phone or a tablet, consider being kind to your eyes with a Kindle. If you are resisting because you aren’t sure you’ll like ebooks as well as print books, I say what the heck, the Kindle may be worth a try. You might decide you love it.*NOTE: To enable TTS (text to speech) so that your kindle can read to you without audiobooks, turn on your wireless headphones or speaker. Then on your Kindle, tap the top of the screen, then hit the three dots on the right. Go to Settings. Hit Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, then Bluetooth Devices. Select your device so your Kindle will recognize it.Next, close the window and go back to Settings. Hit Accessibility, then turn on Voiceview screen reader. The Kindle should start talking to you. If it’s glitchy, just turn off your bluetooth device then turn it on again. Remember that you have to give double taps not single taps on the Kindle to navigate actions. If you want to change the volume or reading speed (I like 1.25x) just double tap on Voiceview screen to show and customize your settings.

Best purchase I've ever made. This kindle is very good.It's crisp and clear.I love the ease of looking up the words by just clicking them.The highlighting is super awesome, and it saves All your highlighted items for each book.Being able to change the font is amazing and being able to change the size of the font is awesome.Holding the Kindle is way easier than holding a physical book. It has made reading much easier and faster for me.Being able to change the brightness and warmth, is a really great feature. I also really enjoy that there's no glare. The fact that it's waterproof is another plus. The battery lasts for a very long time.Another great feature is that you can search a word or phrase in the book that you're reading. It's very helpful if you need to look back on something in the book. The feature is simple and easy to use.Well worth the price, I have no regrets.
