Perfect Gift
This was a really great purchase! I gave it as a gift and the person I gave it to loved it the stand is so cute and the pen is not that heavy and is very productive when you need something to write with. This was the perfect gift for me to give.

Beautiful Pen
Just received my pen today. Gotta say, it's beautiful and writes smooth. The holder is very attractive BUT there needs to be more care in cleaning out the wood shavings in the holder were the pen sits. With that I still give it 5 stars. L. Urso.Beautiful

Beautiful wooden pen and case but not perfect
The look of the pen and case are nearly flawless. The clip on my pen cap is slightly crooked, but that's a minor point. The larger issue is that the pen cap cannot be secured on the back of the pen when writing. This makes the pen itself awkwardly short and throws the balance off (and makes keeping track of the pen cap a challenge)Still, the pen works fine. It and the case get many compliments, and I am generally pleased with my purchase..

Piece of Art
This pen is the combination of hard work and meticulosity; a stunning piece of art - stylish, expressive, easy to use, and nice to write. If it were Apple pen they would have priced it at $99.99, if not more. A huge thank you and a big shout out to the Master.

Very Nice Pen & Box
This is a quality hardwood fountain pen and box that makes a very nice, inexpensive gift for someone who enjoys writing. It is solid wood that is smoothly finished, with vibrant natural color. A drawback is the lack of ink, but that is easily obtained.

Nice quality nice price.
Love this! Nice quality! Worth the money. Nice caring case which turns into a stand. Glad I purchased it. Would be a great gift. Doesn’t come with ink but I have many fountain pens so I already had some.

Beautiful pen and case but nib and ink flow problems
Update: The pen wrote okay the first week, having consumed about 1/4th of the full ink converter. Then flow problems set in, with the nib ink starved periodically. I know a bit about nibs and fountain pens. My first attempt to remedy was to run a brass shim through the tines. This usually solves the problem on other nibs. It did not help with this pen. I decided to cut and grind the nib into an italic stub. I re-inked with Noodler's Gruene Eel ink, which is lubricated. The nib now writes very well and there are no flow problems. Note that this took quite a bit of effort and some knowledge on how to work on nibs. The Best Wooden Fountain pen arrived safely and quickly. Both the case and the pen have beautiful wood with attractive grain and a rich finish. The two woods are joined perfectly and provide a smooth feel. The case has a fit issue -- when in its closed position, there is a slightly crooked gap on its top, where the two piece come together. It is noticeable. This does not show at all when the case is used in its display position. The pen itself has no fit or finish issues; they're spot on. The pen is on the small side, and very light weight. I have large hands so hand fatigue sets in after writing several pages of large journal entries. There is a notable step, but it does not have rough edges, and the section was long enough to get most of my grip without having to touch the step much. The threaded shaft on the section over which the barrel screws on is rather thin plastic. As a precaution against wear, I applied silicone grease to the threads. I flushed the pen with water and inked it up with J. Herbin Verte Reseda. The converter functioned properly but it's not as sturdy as my other brands of ink converters. The ink began flowing straight away. The nib is stamped with "Genius Iridium Germany" and writes like a fine nib. The feed is not aligned evenly with the nib but it doesn't affect writing. The nib itself writes rather dry, plus the ink I'm using is dry. This pen and ink combination is not ideal. There isn't a scratchy feel from the nib, but there is a dragging feel as the nib moves across the paper. This could be due to this particular pairing of pen and ink. It's not enough to make me want to change inks right away, but the next inking will be done with a wetter ink. I'm also going to do some minor nib smoothing with micro mesh. The nib tines are properly aligned. For the price, this is a high value pen with beautiful presentation. The nib is okay as is. I can recommend the pen but suggest inking it with wetter inks or lubricated inks. I have experience with nib tuning and will be doing some on this pen.
