It is a round ball of metal.
My 12 year old daughter is just starting off with throwing, this 4kg put is perfect for the yard, so she can practice. Not surprising it is solid, serves its function and priced nicely.

Paint comes off on hands
It is a great ball. However, we had to clean it as soon as we got it because the paint was powdery and we got residue on our hands and cloths. So it did lose the nice polished look. But it works great for what it is needed for.

Nice quality
We bought this shot put for our son to use for his middle school track and field meet. It has been perfect for what he needed.

Wrong size, wrong material
The shot put sent is not the one described. Received a much larger one made out of a plastic feeling material. It definitely is not a solid iron shot put. It is not usable. Do not buy.

I am very pleased with my purchase. My son needed a shotput to practice with at home and this worked great.

Good value, bad paint.
Turned shot puts arrived. Very nicely made. After several tosses, we noticed our hands were now silver from the cheap paint. Great value, wish the paint didn't come off on our hands. Will be repainting them.
