I bought these lights for my pond because I read in the add that they can be set to change color every 5 seconds. mine did not. I had to manually push a button on the solar charger each time you want to change color. I wrote to seller to ask how to set in automatic mode to "slowly flash and change color every 5 seconds" They gave instructions but it did not work on my lights. They need to include clear instructions on how to get them to flash. However they did offer to replace the lights with a new set for free. They said these will work. Im hopeful that when I get them they flash. Its very nice of them to replace them for free. ( after several back and fourth email to get instructions) The instructions I was given was to press the mode button 4 times in a row, then wait until they flash (and switch to different colors) automatically. No where in the instruction does it say this so try this if you want that mode. Otherwise they seem very well built and the solar charger is large too. So Im upgrading my review from 2 stars to 4 because I see now they are trying to make me happy with their product. Apparently they don't get many complaints so probably most lights work well.

These appear to be just as described. They have some weight to them, so I am pretty confident they will stay where I place them in my pond. The fact that the power cord allows for my pond's 3.5' depth and will allow me to spread the lights from one end to the other and still have enough length to place the solar panel away from the pond edge is great! My only disappointment is that the LEDs are color only - no clear white. But the blue, green and red colors are bright enough that I am satisfied they will be a good enhancement visually. And they don't blink or change automatically, which the fish will appreciate. You power the lights on and select your color using weather-proofed buttons on the base of the solar panel which means the switches are protected from rain and snow. The stake is also well designed and appears to be sturdy.One NOTE: I did notice that the light covers were not very tight. This may be because these are assembled quickly and all that matters is that the covers stay on. The point is that they will not be waterproof unless you take the time to tighten these down. All of mine were at least a half turn loose.Update: After one year they stopped working and I found they were all waterlogged. So much for being immersible!

I have given up on this product. I have a small koi pond in my backyard and wanted to have submersible lights. I bought these in good faith. After the THIRD try, I'm done! The light fixture takes on water causing them to malfunction. They are ( so it stated) were made to go underwater! I shout BS and other expletives. I'm retired, living on fixed income and at almost $50.00 a pop, put a fork in me 'cuz I'm done. Can't find a phone number to call, no customer service. If you are looking for submersible lights, I strongly suggest looking for a different product. One very displeased customer.

The product stopped working within 6 months. I am not sure if the issue is with battery or not. But 40$+ is too much to pay for one summer

Red light stopped working

I'm not using these underwater, just outside going around a large Bismark palm tree. They stay on all night long (usually still going in the morning) which in winter is very good. I like both modes (single color or the multiple changing color but I think it's kind of crappy that I have to buy a new light if I want white). Most LED's will change to all colors (white included) and these are only available in white only, or RGB only. East to setup, and install. Flexible ability to place the lights in different places including underwater is nice. Price is a little high especially considering white and RGB require 2 sets. So I'm rating 4 out of 5.

The lights look great so Thank you for your help in fixing my issue. I had received a set that got water in them but the company quickly sent me a replaced at no cost and I have been enjoying these lights for the past 30 days and they work and look great in my waterscape. "I purchased these lights 5 months ago for use in my small waterfall pond. Two of the lights leaked and quit working. There is no way to contact the supplier to inquire about the "1 year warranty".This was my previous review...since then Lc_Smarts has sent me an entire new set of pond lights. I am still concerned as to their waterproof capabilities, but the product support is wonderful!
