The price indicates quality. If you use them, you will see the difference between Festool and "big box" tools. I have Festool power tools that have been working perfectly for almost 20 years. Festool never disappoints.

This festool sandpaper is as high a quality as the sander itself. I don’t really have anything to compare it to other than the festool Ruben line. I find the granat much longer lasting than the Ruben and overall much stronger and longer lasting than the mirka brand I used to use on my dewalt orbital sander.

Works perfectly. The main advantage of these pads is that they last very long so you really get your money’s worth

This review will focus on the new Jetstream 2 dust extraction design. Simply put, do more holes in the jetstream 2 result in less dust left behind? The short answer is Yes. Secondly, confirming that Granat abrasive is flexible (paints, clear coats, bare wood), long lasting abrasive. The answer to question 1 is Yes. More holes do provide for a better dust extraction meaning a cleaner work surface and less airborne dust particles. The difference between the previous Granat and the new Jetstream 2 is subtle to signficant depending on the job. I’m refinishing my white oak hard wood floors with the Rotex 150 Granat 60/80/120 grit and the hard Jetstream2 pad coupled with the new Jetstream 2 paper is a great choice for surface prep and reduced airborne particulates. As a quick experiment I tried both setups. For those with the previous Festool pads with less holes will not allow the new paper to work as well. Simply stated the hole pattern doesn’t match up. That all said, Festool Granat paper is excellent, if used with the Festool system is long lasting and worth the premium pricing.
