Brand new no BS!
Just recently bought a PS2 and wanted to play alot of the old games I use to as a kid. This being one of them. I received my package this morning, and upon opening it I have to say I'm really impressed. The game is actually brand new. Game box was sealed and it included the map/poster as well. All in mint condition. Game disc had no scratches whatsoever and it works just fine!

Misleading packaging
Although explicitly stated and depicted on the packaging, the game is not the “greatest hits” release from 2005. In fact, it is a 2014 reprint, repackaged to mislead consumers into believing it is the original “greatest hits” release. Notably, the disk itself bears a copyright date of 2005. Remarkably, nowhere on the packaging or in the listing does it explicitly state that it is a reprint. Furthermore, the description appears to be derived from an entirely different game. The primary concern with the 2014 reprint is its omission of certain licensed music. I find this to be quite disappointing.

Still among the top!
I purchased the PS3 version a few years back without knowing about it's faults.(glitching/freezing) I've been wanted to revisit this great entry in the GTA series, so I figured the PS2 greatest hits version would the best and most economical! The seller listed it as "like new", and that's exactly how I would call it too! Already played through a few missions and I have to say it doesn't look that bad compared to the PS3 version. It helps to have a component cable to get the best picture through an HDTV. I'm using the Retrovision's PS2 component cable for my PS2 games, and this one has stood out among the best looking without needing any tweaks to the picture settings! Time to relive my high school years!

One of the best!!!!! Still after almost 8 years!!!
I re-bought this game after I realized how much I miss the Ps2 ( still to this day my favorite )and how badly I wanted to replay the old school games that I still love on the Ps2 and this one was my first stop. This game is incredible, amazing, beautiful and so on. Not only can you play this game for hours and hours just free roaming around most likely causing chaos, but the story line is great, the controls and gameplay are smooth, the voice acting is op notch and there are plenty of side quest and mini games to play. The graphics are still very Ps2 and sometimes kinda blurred but I wouldnt trade that for anything. Still the best Grand Theft Auto to date, Gta 4 was fun but it did not hold up well to Gta San Andreas, and still one of the best Ps2 games of all time, and one one the best in gaming history.

LOVE GTA SA
I would consider this the best of the GTA games. I've heard people complain about the graphics, but i feel like thats such a prominent characteristic of GTA games, it just wouldn't be the same w/o the block hands and the expressionless faces lol....and cmon!!! give them a break, it was released in 2004 for ps2!and lemme tell you, it does justice to the place i grew up in (LA) and where i live now (SF), and vegas is just so spot on too.my fav part: the way Ryder is so blatantly modeled after Eazy-E XDIt's a very busy world in San Andreas, there's a lot to do and a lot to see, you definitely will not be bored when you play this gameOh, and the game was in perfect shape when i got it and even came with the original booklet and poster that's now hung on my wall. :)

Simply Beautiful
I love this game. It had been consuming my life for almost 3 weeks until I completed all the missions which were all fun. The only thing that the game should have incorporated was a chapter selection. There are a couple of missions which I could do over and over again. Besides that you can do whatever the hell you want whenever you want. I love the wide selection of planes. And by the way for all those who don't know how to fly the Hydra, after you get into rise to a safe altittude and then push forward on the right analog stick for it to fly normally and just hold it back to go into vertical mode. Buy this game now even though its been out for quite a while
