This Tetra granule food is excellent! My mid-water tropical fish (like my larger Tetras and Angelfish) absolutely devour the slow-sinking granules. They are gradual and I missed it. I use to use flakes. So far the fish like it. But will see if it increase the period between cleaning because once they fall to the ground the fish don’t seem to be eating those.

I bought these for a 20 gallon community fish tank I'm still cycling. I've been using some of it to help cycle the tank (no fish yet). When I first opened the seal it had that fresh fish food smell, so I can only imagine how good it must smell to the fish.This is taking forever to break down in my cycling tank, I'm talking weeks. Part of the reason might be that this is high protein, which you absolutely 100% want for ALL of your fish (yes, even Malawi Cichlids).High protein food is not only good for the fish, it helps keep the water clean by not contributing too much of a carb source for bad bacteria, so your good bacteria can stay on top of things, if that makes sense.So when they label this "clear" or "clean" water, it's a double whammy and it really is the real deal.
