that is a good question! I have not tried it on any nice paper, but consider this; it is watery. you might try just plain water and a magnifying glass to check how much bleeding there is if you cannot bear to just go for it. The tip is so very fine, I cannot imagine it would be terrible. Just the same as a regular fountain pen most likely. On all the types of paper I have used it, the lines remained clean. I would hesitate to say no simply because I have no idea how precious that paper might be to you.
