I originally bought another model which was over 200, and it was apparently faulty in manufacturing or transit and the zoom didn't work and it wouldn't focus. I had a tough time getting a refund as well. So I hesitated to try another but I tried this one. The magnification is less but it's also a lot cheaper. The optics are nice and clear and the zoom does work, you turn one of the dials and it zooms in and out, as well as being able to focus it. It's fairly lightweight and small enough to put in a larger coat pocket. The accessories to attach a phone are ok.... had some trouble getting the stand/phone holder to attach to the monocular, it has a weird tightening ring thing which was pretty tough to get tight enough. The image through it is okay, though rounded, and will need ideally an optical zoom on the phone to get a full size picture. The images seen through it are pretty good and fairly clear, though it's a little bit shaky at 30x (which is normal).
