Great item but need strategy for proprioception issue
The media could not be loaded. I have MS. The Gooseneck Design is what will make this safe and possible for me to light a candle.I do rather struggle with it because I have a proprioception issues. It’s hard for me to sense where the gooseneck tip is going so far away from my hand — further than a standard Bic click stick lighter which I could manage with more accuracy but has become too hard to click to get a light.I also have a digital hand lighter, but the flame on that seems dangerous to tip to light a candle so close to my hand.I think it’s the only safe way to light a candle for me tho and I might need another compensatory strategy for using it to I know how I’m pointing.Otherwise, I really like this device. I don’t have to push the buttons hard at all to get the device to light. That’s a huge benefit. It’s super lightweight and the long handle easy to grip. The position of the buttons are convenient. The video I’m posting also depicts the very first time I’m using it. It is a little confusing at first to figure out what the buttons do. Apparently, the switch needs to be turned on before pressing the round button to activate the laser beam.I bought two of them, one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom. I was able to charge both fully (overnight) on a small back up battery and still have 3/4 charge left on the battery. The cords are short. Since I’m charging on a small battery, this is no problem, but for those who must charge by plugging into wall, it could be a problem.I recommend labeling the cords so you know these go with this product — especially if you have a lot of devices to charge. These cords look a lot like the short ones ones for my backup batteries.I could see this making a really unique, novel and affordable gift for someone. The plastic has no chemical odor or smell. I’m a chemically sensitive person. (In this case, the match I lit was the problem. Not that I want to support smoking, but for those of you who are looking to light a cigarette or cigar, I think this unit would be difficult bc of the distance between the ends where the laser comes out.I like the fact that when it’s activated or lit, it makes a noise. Seems like it’s a natural safety feature in case the safety is off and the button is depressed. As a person with executive function deficits and short term memory loss, I’m not sure how effective the safety switch is going to be. I’m likely to forget to use it. A timed off would probably be a safer design.I’m not a pink person but the rose color is pleasant enough. I only got rose bc it was the best deal.I just received these and started using them, so can’t say how long the device will last or how consistent and reliable it is. I can come back after a time and report out.I figure if it lasts a year, I won’t be any behind for the butane lighters for how often I use those. I’d probably come back here and just get another from this seller.

Great quality
I bought a few of these and they work really good. Super cute and stylish but also very useful. Rechargeable which is a plus and so easy to use.

Good but I wish it used USB-C instead of micro USB
This works really well for lighting candles. It is lightweight and the battery life is good and it charges quickly enough. For the price, it is great. My only criticism is that it uses micro USB for charging instead of USB-C, since all the devices in my household are USB-C.

Works btter than I thought it would!
Since I heat my home with a wood furnace, we always seem to be out of wooden matches. Trying to find the standard box of wooden matches on the shelves has been difficult in my area, so I decided to give this electronic match a try.It is very easy to use. Once it is charged up, slide the on switch toward the business end of this electronic match, and small LED lights will indicate the current battery charge level and that the unit is ready to start a fire. Then press the small round button and it will produce a continuous, but very hot spark. You will have a finite amount of time (about ten seconds) to fire something up; after which all the LEDs will go off, along with the hot spark. No real problem here, just flick the slide switch away from the business end and then toward the business end and you will have another shot at lighting something up.This is really a great safety feature. Suppose after lighting up your fireplace you place the unit in your back pocket and then sit down on the sofa; it just might be possible the light button my get accidentally pressed. Not only does this unit produce a hot discharged, it could also do damage to you because of the high voltages involved. Like nearly everything else, this device is not a toy, so read the short instruction manual. Always move the slide switch to the off position after completing your task. Should you forget to do so, the device will still become inoperative after a period or about ten seconds. I would not leave it about where children could get their hands on it, any more than I would leave real matches lying about.A hint about how to go about lighting up your fireplace. Take any sheet (or part of a sheet) of black & white newspaper, and roll it up into an elongated cone, no more than a 1/2 inch in diameter. Now you have a stiff rod that could be a foot long or longer. Place the end of the cone between the electrodes such that one of electrodes is inside the end of the cone. Hit the fire button, and within a second or two, you will have a flaming paper rod to light your fireplace. This device impressed me so much, that I purchased a second pink one for my wife. After I charged it up for her, she used it once. After several months elapsed, I checked its rechargeable battery life to find it was still fully charged. When off, these units hold their charge very well. How many fires could one light on a single charge, will depend on how efficient you are. I typically only need, say, two seconds to light my paper rod. I light, typically, one or two fires a day during winter, and had to charge it only once. Manual recommends not to let the rechargeable discharge all the way down.

Definitely recommended
Works Great. This is my second time buying. First one lasted a good 2.5 to 3 yrs. It's good quality. I use it for candles only. It does require regular wiping of the tip.
