Relora is a necessary addition to every day for me. I am recovering from a stress related illness and need help dealing with residual anxiety. Relora helps with this better than any of the many other things I have tried. It reduces anxiety and the cortisol spike following sudden stress without sleepiness or other side effects. Pure Encapsulations is the only brand I buy now. It is consistently the same from bottle to bottle which I cannot say about other brands.

My integrative MD told me to get the Pure Encapsulations brand of Relora to help with sleep. About a year later he said I could discontinue it as I was taking so many supplements and it was getting a little overwhelming. I stopped the Relora and my sleep went back to being shallow with me waking up several times during the night at the slightest noise or temperature disturbance. I started taking it again and my deep sleep returned. I've jettisoned a lot of other supplements that didn't appear to do anything (and which I didn't miss when I stopped taking them) but I won't give up this one again. I take it right before bed.

It's all natural and it's not a nargotic. It takes the edge off my anxiety.

It definitely has active ingredients in it, I just didn't like it. I used it two nights in a row. Both times I had vivid dreams and I felt like I might have woken up more than usual in the first half of the night, though only briefly. I was definitely drowsy and it made me want to shut my eyes. I remember having to hold onto the wall to go pee in the middle of the night but I didn't think much of it. On the second day I went to the bathroom about 2 hours after waking up and I had to stick my hand out to the ground to avoid face-planting as I tried to wipe myself haha. I was kind of dizzy/ditsy at work too. It was worth a try, maybe for someone else it would be good. I was less excited about it being poorly described. What chemicals in the bark are giving that effect and what are they doing to your liver?
