Not as salty as the last brand of white miso paste we bought from the store. It has a hint of sweetness to it. It’s very nice. For a simple miso soup, I like to use 1 tablespoon for every one cup of broth, and add some cubed tofu. Add some sliced green onions before serving. Enjoy a light, hot soup. :)

No printed date to “See below”
The package says, “Best Before: See the printed date on the package below,” but there’s no date to be seen anywhere. Without it, I can’t tell if it’s safe to use or not. This makes it hard to decide what to do, and it’d be great if the date was actually there like it says..
