Excellent and versatile.
The inexpensive price of this mini keyboard places it in the "not really sure about it, but give it a go anyway." category.I purchased it primarily for my nVidia Shield tablet on which I have to rely on the onscreen keyboard. Whilst this has large keys and is easy to use, the fact that it hides a lot of the screen at the same time I've always felt a disadvantage in use. This is particularly so when radio buttons need to be pressed and which can't be seen without scrolling the upper, visible, part of the screen. As supplied, it isn't possible to use it with the Shield immediately as this has a micro USB port and the necessary OTG cable was not included and which is necessary to connect the little wireless receiver. An OTG cable for mini-USB is supplied with the unit, and for charging. Having charged the keyboard I connected the wireless receiver via my OTG cable (female USB to micro USB) and plugged it into the shield whilst it was switched on. Then when I switched on the keyboard it was paired automatically (no delving into settings) and in use there was no discernible delay from pressing a key to the character appearing on screen. The tactile feedback of the little keys is good. I've never been much of a fan of track pads on my laptops, so whilst this one works, it isn't, and I wasn't expecting it to be, on a par with those. Used with the Shield it is a bit slow and awkward. So it has satisfied my primary reason to buy it - use with my nVidia Shield tablet. Out of curiosity, I tried it with my W7 Professional laptop with which I already use a wireless mouse. After the little Windows prompt following insertion of the wireless receiver, it worked as expected and connected automatically, although the cursor speed using the touch pad is too fast to be accurate when pinpointing on screen. The best news with this set up is that it does not interfere with my wireless mouse and I can now position my 17.3" laptop a little further away to view DVD/Blu-ray movies, as it no longer needs to be within arms' reach to use its inbuilt keyboard. This is an advantage that didn't inform my buying decision, but has simply enhanced it. I found it also automatically paired with my HTC One M8 although nothing on the screen indicated it had. However, I can't really see myself carrying this with the M8, so whilst yes, one could, I won't.I hesitated about a 4 or 5 Star rating, and had it been just for use with the Shield, I would have awarded it 4 Stars due to the slight problems using the mouse pad. However, used with my laptop it has opened up fresh opportunities, so for me, the mini keyboard is a 5 Star product.PS. As Amazon has a habit of sometimes posting reviews of near-identical products together, I'd just like to reaffirm that this review is for the Rii brand. There are similar units with identical case work but with the secondary key function layouts being different.

Pleasantly surprised
I didn't realise how small it was when I bought it but that's because I didn't look at all the pictures. Despite its size, it works really well and is actually far more convenient to store than the clunky full sized one I had before. The keys are soft and easy to press, it has all the keys you need (including fn keys like volume control, forward and back, etc). The mouse pad works with one finger and has a left and right click button, and arrow keys. Have used it with windows 10 and my fire TV. Works perfectly with both. Very happy with it!

Must have for web browsing on TV or using media box
Wish it had usb-c charging not the old school micro usb. I use this a lot as I have a Nvidia Shield TV in my bedroom sometimes it’s an effort when I’m trying to use the web browser using my shield remote. This came in very handy as it’s not only a keyboard but also a mouse. It’s very lightweight and the functionality is so good same with its connectivity as you just have to plug the USB into the back of your media box or TV. The battery life is very good and I hardly have to charge it often. The buttons have a nice tactile feel to them and are very responsive. Very good value for money.I only take away one star because I just wish it had Type-C charging

Small but effective
Tiny keyboard (smaller than a sky glass remote), ideal for use on our CCTV setup.Plug and play, works great.

Good little remote control keyboard and mouse combo
I like this Rii X1 controller. It's filled the role we needed it to do, which is to be a quick keyboard and mouse when using the PC as a home theatre.Previously I tried a cheaper one from Amazon. On that the buttons barely responded and the trackpad was a total joke. It was returned the next day. Instead I spent a bit more money and ordered this one. From what were low expectations I found myself pleasantly surprised. It installs without a hitch. It can operate a PC from across a room with no signal problems. The remote's keys are responsive, and give a nice tactile click when pressed. Thumb typing feels comfortable and the track pad is... OK. It does the job - perhaps better than some nastier laptops I've used, but far from being fluid. The tap-mouse clicks are especially irksome, but there are thankfully left and right mouse buttons to press beneath the track pad.I can't really comment on the battery life as I've never had it run out on me. It tends to be plugged in to charge on a regular basis. Some quality of life improvements could have boosted the score of this remote significantly. A backlit keyboard would have been a massive positive as this remote is being used in a dark room. A more sensitive and slightly larger trackpad would have paid dividends. A personal preference but I would have been happier if the qwerty layout to have been staggered between rows like on a full size keyboard and not put into a neat, square grid. A lifetime of using qwerty keyboards means I know instinctually where the keys are without having to keep looking down. All that muscle memory is lost by moving them away from their natural positions. But overall, the device succeeds despite its shortcomings. It'll perform basic mouse/keyboard functions on a PC just fine. For instance it'll effortlessly do the job of searching through Amazon and ordering a product. But realistically you won't want to write a lengthy review like this on it. Not whilst keeping your sanity anyway!

Very Compact
Great little keyboard, i was looking everywhere for a very small keyboard for my Raspberry Pi and this fits the bill, it even fits in your pocket and around the same size as a TV Remote as described, highly reccomended
