The second Gen 1080 is just as great as the first one. It has some features I'll never use, but you don't have to use them. I got the 11 turn motor. Ran on 3s for about 2 hours with no heat issues, or any other issues for that matter. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with the program card. The card Amazon said would work doesn't come with the right chart. I have the chart in the esc instructions, but that isn't convenient at all.

Tuning options galore!
This is an absolutely amazing speed controller with a very extensive tuning menu. The real car mode seems like more of a gimmick to me, but some of you may enjoy that option.

I chose the 540 30T option, put in Traxxas Sport Works great only con is no longer program card included

The esc is great!
The best esc so far, in my opinion. I would have gave more stars, but the motor only lasted two runs.
