Arduino Giga R1 WiFi [ABX00063] – High-Performance Microcontroller with Dual-Core ARM Cortex-M7 & M4, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Advanced I/O for IoT & Edge Computing

Despite it's 3.3v operation to which I'm unaccustomed to it works very well when you treat it right. It's possible to brick it with mismanaged or bad code requiring to re-flash everything from scratch, so be careful and pay attention to what you're doing. Otherwise this is an awesome micro-controller platform.

The Giga specs are phenomenal. But, the Giga won't run accelstepper which is a necessary library for my application. Took me many hours to find it was the Giga and not my coding... I tried on another Giga, same problem. I also used the Giga Display, looked marvelous on paper. Out of the box, connected to a Giga and even the example sketches wouldn't run well, they sort of ran. Then the Giga got very hot and even when the display was disconnected it heats up - with nothing connected but power. Be careful that your libraries are supported and until Arduino fixes the display, don't connect one to your board. And yes, it's not me, I've been working with Arduinos for years.

Nothing major. But this is the second arduino product that I've gotten that's been damaged right out of the box. When you spend this amount of money on a new piece of equipment, or should should come brand new and not damaged. The box didn't show any signs of being jarred around and there's nothing inside to break it. One can only assume (yeah I know what happens with that) that it was broke if not before then during packaging. I wish arduino would get it's quality control in check. I love their products. But I hate getting damaged stuff right out of the box.

Well I just got it and I'm disappointed before I even open the box. Nowhere does it say 1024 MB of RAM. It does say 2MB FLASH, 1 MB SRAM, 8 MB SDRAM, and 16 MB QSPI Flash. Nowhere is the a 1024 or 1 GB. Deceptive if not outright false advertising.

This is awesome, all of the power in the palm of my hand, I've got 5 Arduino boards and I have great expectations for this guy, hoping to get fastled library ported soon... Would love to use for LED, my next Arduino purchase is the giga display to go with it!

I'm guessing someone else returned this for the same reason I plan on returning it. It's missing 1 of the connectors so you can't use the display shield. The package was definitely resealed.
