Magnifier does the job for me at present, regards to reading food labels relating to ingredients, cooking times and temperatures plus storage and expiry dates. I pop it into my handbag or pocket before going shopping because it is not heavy and I also take into my kitchen to verify such instructions when wanting to cook/bake or again check expiration dates. Personally though, as the actual lens measures only 45mm and not 70mm as shown on its box because its black plastic frame has been included to account for the overall lens section, its Lens needs instead to measure the actual 70mm or even 100mm because you do have to move the tool across even on small labels to read them. It is not intended to aid book reading but only as a quick reference. Reason for my purchase: I was fed up squinting while food shopping to verify food expiry dates etc even when wearing my spectacles but could not blame having incorrect spectacle lens as my eye test just recently been completed.I like this magnifier despite the lens small size because its reasonably OK and weight is ideal to fit into my handbag or pocket and the attached cover which is pushed sideway to reveal the lens housed in its black plastic frame means you do not have to take its cover off and likely lose it. Whether the cover breaks loose eventually only time will tell but its cover has been added to hopefully avoid scratching the lens- I would not advise attaching keys to it as shown because the lens plastic edging will break and also lead to snapping off the protective cover.If only food companies increased the size of the typescript on food labels especially on cooking, storage and expiry dates us humans would not need to carry such junk in bags and pockets.

Absolutely great no regrets. Excellent size value forMoney. The downside is the keyring it fell off after a week on my keys so if this is your main purpose I would suggest something else. It’s a very tidy and functional product with a built in light. Love it so far!
