Jar crossthreaded would not open
I was really excited about this but the jar lid was crossthreaded. The jar busted attempting to remove lid. Very disappointed.

A rough start but the reward is well worth the wait
Seems like the seeds need a cold stratification period but after undergoing that accidentally after assuming they weren’t going to grow, they have been doing wonderfully for me. Strawberries in general have to have soggy feet, but not soaked, and absolutely need to be hand pollinated (q-tip works great) if you don’t have the plant outside for the bees to do their jobs. The beginning was a bit tough as I poured so much blood sweat and tears into getting the sprouts to grow but they are so incredibly temperamental with watering. You can’t overwater the sprouts or they drown but they dry out faster than the soil so just looking at it isn’t enough and you have to mist them or set up one of those sub surface watering basins as the water tension from just dumping water in, as one normally would, is enough to rip the baby strawberries to bits. Once the sprout starts growing normal looking leaves then it’s pretty easy to keep up with it. Now having the experience that I do, I’d recommend starting this as an indoor plant just as the weather starts to get cool so the plant is producing fruit as you roll into spring and has better conditions to produce a bigger harvest as it would have already done most of its growing during its usual down time. Generally speaking it isn’t a large plant so even now reaching its peak, I can pretty comfortably fit it into any window with lots of light and it continues to grow for me.

Poor results
Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, as my seeds never developed beyond tiny roots. Despite multiple attempts with the same seeds, the results remained unchanged each time. Based on my struggles, I cannot recommend this product.

Okay
Strawberries grew mushrooms everywhere. My strawberries died. I tried multiple times with the seeds included but hopefully this last batch will survive

Strawberry seeds never sprouted
Unfortunately the plant never sprouted. This was one of 5 back to roots products I’ve purchased (3 tomato planters, 1 pepper planter, 1 strawberry planter).I’ve followed the directions carefully and fully for all planters, past and present. I’ve had success with all of my tomato plants as well as my pepper plant. This strawberry planter was the only one that didn’t even sprout after being planted. Will not discourage me from trying other planters, but I likely won’t buy the strawberry ones again.

Disappointed
I bought this because my daughter really wants to grow strawberries and this looked easy but it's not mine came with broken fertilizer sticks and the jar is completely full there is no where for anything to grow and I'm not with plants so I don't know how to fix it... waste of money and the description was misleading
