Better than Bumbo, Fisher Price, or Summer Infant
When my husband first said "we need a bumbo chair" I thought it was just one of those things you didn't really "need." My living room was rapidly filling up with baby gear and I nodded and put it on the registry, but didn't really feel that it was a pressing issue. When it was a pressing issue, I saw the prices of Bumbo chairs and cringed. I tried to find one at second hand stores to make up for it, but most of them were dirty or some weird off brand. I gave up and came to Amazon. When I searched for Bumbo, this chair came up. There are several Bumbo "knock offs" out there that I had already dismissed because they contained so much fabric (which dirties easily) or they were reviewed as items that had the potential to pinch little hands. I saw this and did research on it to compare and found that not only was it very comparable to Bumbo, it had some pretty smart features! Both this chair and the Bumbo have seat belts that are a pain in the butt to latch. The latch is low in the crotch area so that the straps go around baby's hips (smart because the stomach would be uncomfortable) but the closure is right behind the middle part and it can be challenging to unsnap. Both chairs are identical in that regard. The reason I chose this chair instead of the Bumbo is because I like that the tray stores inside the chair. I have so much baby furniture and toy clutter around the house that I don't need one more extra little piece to trip over (and have to dig out when I need it). The fact that the tray just pops off and slides into the base is super convenient. I love it.I also like that the chair was a little bit deeper than the Bumbo and therefore provided better support. It isn't too much support, your little one still has to learn to balance, but it just seems like better back support to me. It's what I would want if I were a baby.It cleans really easily. Even the straps seems stain resistant. Granted, I haven't tried feeding avocado in it yet (which seems to stain everything) but other than that everything wipes clean.I also like that it grows with my little guy so the insert can come out and it will still be usable. It just worked really nicely for us. I put his little plastic balls that make noise on the tray for him to push around. He uses the cup holder to hold his binkie.Plus, it's stylish. I like the colors it comes in. I definitely would use this as my pick of these kinds of chairs. It's definitely sturdier than the cheaper ones like the one made by Summer Infant, which looks cool because of the toys but in the end just doesn't seem as safe and practical.

The perfect seat!
I spent what seems like forever, looking for the best feeding seat for my 5 month old grandson. Being unable to sit up on his own, it was difficult to find a seat that would meet what I expected of it. We’ve bought Bumbo (various versions), Prince Lionheart, & high chairs of all sorts, and nothing seemed to work.I read reviews on Kids II and on Amazon, as well as any I found through Google, on this particular model. We tend to always fall to Ingenuity, as they seem to put a lot of thought process into theur items, as well as having great customer service, willing to help resolve to ensure that we’re happy. I ordered this after reading reviews, and love the seat (As does he!). Again, Ingenuity has had a wonderful thought process when designing this one! It has some flaws, (one) or maybe it’s just a flaw to an overly OCD grandmother (:It’s a great height. Perfect for us to sit after having play time, either with the activity gym, water mat, or toys, and have a snack, or our normal feeding times thereafter.Straps are included that attach to a chair, allowing him to sit with us at the table, rather than holding him.The “cushion” is a wonderful material.. It’s soft & seems comfortable, and is able to be wiped down after eating, or to be removed for a more thorough cleaning or as they grow (while his chubby little legs could not fot through the Bumbo, he still has plenty of growing room left in the Ingenuity). We also use the chair for sitting up, whether watching tv or his tablet, or just enjoying the life of not having to lie down all the time... it’s great for this, Being that you can remove the tray for these times or for travel, and him have that little special time, is wonderful. The fact that the tray slides in below the seat, for it’s “little home”, makes this seat even better! (I love that!)!My only complaint is that the strap running between their legs is so short! For a child that cannot sit up on his own, he tends to fall forward a bit. I’ve never seen one so short, and not sure of the idea behind this, but it doesn’t take away from how much we love the seat, and how much he enjoys it! I figure I’ll pick up some hook and loop the next time we’re in town, and fix a small extender for that particular part of the strap, and it’ll be fine. We’d definitely recommend this seat to anyone looking to find the perfect seat for their little girl/guy! (We also recommend the Ingenuity 2-in-1 Soothing Solutions Swing (We have the “smart size” & it’s a God send!)!

This is the one! Very functional!! Use it for years to come!
UPDATE: our son is now over 2 years old (so crazy how time flies!!!) and we are still using the seat. It's been with us on so many different outings and we also often use it at our house when a little guest comes and we need an extra secure sit to prevent fidgeting at the dinner table! :) This is definitely one of the more useful baby products we purchased that has truly stood the test of time. Just wanted to reaffirm that "this is the one" you want to get! Good luck, new parents!!This is truly a great product. There are other similar products on the market that will satisfy the same functionality but we found that a lot of similar units do not have the same versatility as this one. We are thrilled to see our son learning how to sit upright and so happy that we will be able to use the seat for many years, thanks to the removable top portion that will make it possible for our future bigger boy to fit in the seat (without the green part). A lot of products are one size only and will accommodate your little one only up to a certain time period and if you are going to spend $40, might as well have something that will last you a few years instead of a few months! It fits safely and securely and we use it for sitting practice as well as feeding--just started feeding our son rice cereal. There are a lot of products out there and I think new parents can sometimes go overboard and buy too much--anybody relate? But this one is really one that you will want to have for at home and out at restaurants. My only complaint is that the tray is a little difficult to remove but aside from that, we highly recommend this product and look forward to using it on a daily basis for the next 3+ years. If anybody has questions, please feel free to comment. I'm always glad to help other parents. Best of luck!!
