A daily MUST for those who love God
We love theology because it brings us steadily closer to a wonderful relationship and love for God. Every day this daily "dose" of concise theology reminds us of our need for spending time with God that helps with our understanding and need for time with HIM. It feeds the mind and the spirit.

This is the way books should be made.
I began listening to the book on Audible recently and enjoyed it so much I purchased the book for my library. The book arrived yesterday. The sturdy hardback is simply beautiful. It is designed the way books should be made.Rich, dark green cloth covered boards have the title embossed in gold on the front board and spine. A gold colored bookmark is sewn into the stitched headband. The pages are thick paper without any bleedthrough. It is organized to be read five days a week. Each weekly section is marked by a gold stripe with the week number. Daily readings are numbered as well.(I can’t figure out why the Kindle version of the book is almost the same price as the hardback)

Accessible, bite-sized, theology from a Reformed perspective
This devotionally styled, systematic theology is well written, engaging, and covers all the main points of theology without feeling daunting. I’m planning to integrate it into our homeschool family time, and like the short, daily discussions that have a lot of substance and potential talking points. There are a couple places I disagree with the Reformed theological positions (especially regarding the gifts of the Spirit), but those are good topics to talk through. The only thing I don’t like is that sometimes the author takes strong positions on what I would consider non-essential things. For example, he has a step-by-step argument for why the 144,000 in Revelation are not an ethnic Jewish remnant and should be understood symbolically. I don’t have a personal fervor toward or against this argument, but see some holes in his reasoning, and mostly don’t understand why this particular topic is so important, especially to Christians who are already sealed by the Spirit and would not need to be re-sealed (Eph. 1:13-14, Eph. 4:30, 2 Cor. 1:21-22). But again, these are good discussions we can have as a family, and I think this book will provide a great theological foundation while being devotional, and easy to read and understand.

Difficult read, but rich
Sometimes studying doctrine can be difficult. This is rich in Scripture (doctrines are the truths of Scripture)The chapters are broken down into short truths, followed by beautiful prayers by a variety of people
