Sweet soft top

I want to start off by saying I never write reviews ever but this product has really exceeded my expectations. Remember now the bad reviews always out way the good because that’s just how things go but I am beyond pleased. The install was extremely easy and I only had the top and windows sit out in the sun for a little over an hour. I will say I used a video from YouTube as far as the instructions for the install so I did not use the copy of instructions that came with the product. It took me honestly maybe 1hr and 30min for total install by myself which could of been quicker but I wasn’t in a rush. I installed the door skins the next day and they were also a very easy install. I will say I was on the fence about the frameless and the look but I promise you if you are just do it. You will not regret it! Also I’m pretty sure it’s slightly more aerodynamic because it felt a lot better on the highway and a little less sluggish. The functionality is hands down on point with the built in window storage and all. I will finish by saying do not let these negative reviews influence your decisions because you will be completely satisfied! I will never go back to a frame soft top.

This top is awesome looking on my 94 yj. It is easy to instal but the straps that hook to the back of the top have frayed and the end tab of the zipper for the back window has fallen off and will not stay zipped up. I really wish it didn't have these two problemsIt would be 6 stars if I had dent hd these issues. I have had it for two years and only had it on the jeep for about half the time.

I have a Trail Gear front cage extension and was worried that this top would not work because of it. I am pleased to report that the top works just fine with the cage extension. I will need to modify the door frame clamps a little, but that's it. Quality seems good. If you can leave it out in the sun before installing I highly recommend it. I was able to get it on 40°F and cloudy but it was a hassle.

Had this top since August of 2017. So far there have been no problems with the top. It went on easily, even with limited instructions. The strap that wraps around the rear seat belt anchor in the roll bar was a bit tricky to get installed correctly but, after watching the video a few times, I was able to route it correctly. The windows are quick to take off and put back on. I love the storage area in the top for the windows! The sewing is done with heavy thread and the zippers are good quality as well. The Velcro is very strong. Rear visiblity is improved tremendously. There are a few drawbacks. First, the top is not designed to be taken down completely without removing it and the door surrounds from the jeep completely. If someone knows a way to secure the top and surrounds, please post it. There are a few points where the top is stretched very tight. There are protectors in those spots but still a concern. I will update if anything changes. Great to, great price.

I wanted to like this, I really did. I like the frame-less look on my YJ and the price was right. However I've now been through 2 different tops and both have broken zippers. In the first case the rear window zipper pulled apart at the start almost immediately. I think the window may have been taken out twice before that zipper broke. I contacted the company and they stood by their product and sent a brand new replacement top. Their warranty department was apparently run through a single person, and it was not exactly easy to reach him but in the end the replacement process was fairly smooth.Since that time I've had the replacement top on my Jeep (which is a secondary vehicle) and I've taken extreme care with all the zippers. I assemble the zippers with no strain on them, then attache the top to the body channels. I also ensure that the top/windows are only taken reassembled after being out in the sun to get good and warm. I shouldn't have to be this careful with a top specifically engineered to be a 'convertible' which should account for it being assembled and disassembled on a regular basis. Being that this is on my Jeep as a secondary (non-daily driver), the top only gets used rarely and over the last year that I've owned it I think its only been disassembled six times. Despite my feeling that I shouldn't have to, I was still ok with the top until the stupid rear window zipper broke AGAIN. This time it clearly has the starter tooth/teeth break in two! On a hot 90 degree day after being at the beach in full sun all day, I go to put the rear window in to drive the 2+ hours home and the stupid zipper breaks.I have reached out to Rampage to see what can be done about this, but at this rate how can there be any confidence in a product that barely lasts a year. I'll update this review if something changes.

great top. Put it on my 94 YJ. i needed to buy the tub rails. windshield upright, and half door retaining channel. i did not have a soft top on it before. the windshield channel i used was bestop. it worked good. it is quieter than my hard top. saying that with not too good of a seal. It only flaps when you're going about 30 to 50. on the highway when i go 70 it just puffs out and there is no sound problem. it was a tight fit but that goes with a new top. quick and easy to take the windows off. the window tint is good and dark, still legal though. the door windows are not tinted which is no big deal for me. i love the framless idea cause i dont have those ugly bars hanging around when i take the windows off. overall great top time will tell how good the material is but it seemed like a sturdy top all around. would recommend to anyone.
