Best kitchen scissor option
Love that the blades come apart for easy cleaning and dishwasher safe. Very sturdy build, I don't worry that the blades will twist apart while in use. Very comfy grip for use as well.

Safety first
The first noticeable asset is the non-slip handle that makes it easy to debone items like chicken so you can use the bones for homemade stock. When it passes that test, I am satisfied. Then, they come apart for dishwasher cleaning for safe cooking. And then they are light enough to easily maneuver for cutting all types of food items. If I could have a tip protector, they would be above expectations. I store mine in a knife block that has a scissors slot, but if I didn’t, I would want to protect the tip with a safety cap. They are sharp enough to make my work easier and efficient. Well worth the price for the time they save.

OXO Good Grips for the win, best Kitchen Scissors ever.
Ok it's been a while since I wrote a review, but these are the best kitchen scissors ever. The tiny serrations are barely noticeable but they absolutely cut through everything. Like all OXO good grips products, the grip is freaking awesome, it's soft and textured and is even to hold even if your hands are slippery. The herb stripper is one of the coolest ideas ever and it makes stripping Rosemary so easy, I'm not sure about cilantro yet but I plan to try that soon, either way they blow the Farberware scissors from my old knife block they're replacing out of the water (which admittedly isn't hard to do). Highly recommend. I have a growing collection of OXO Good Grips stuff and I've been really happy with all of it so far. Their Salt and Pepper grinders are also super top notch. For 20 bucks, I don't think you can do any better, I checked out some of the larger brand's models and they seem less comfortable and no more durable for twice the money. I also like that the blades come apart, it makes them really easy to clean, I imagine easy to sharpen too, but with the serrations I doubt sharpening will be necessary any time soon (if ever). I'll be recommending these for a loooong time to come.

Great value. Comes apart for better cleaning.
Cuts well, comes apart for cleaning, hasn't rusted yet. Herb stripper notches work great on rosemary, thyme sprigs. Saves lots of time. A lot less expensive than the highest ATK rated equivalent, so a great value.

Good scissors, pain in the bum to clean.
This looked like the ideal kitchen scissors to me - sturdy, made by a reliable brand, and easy to disassemble for proper cleaning. What is not mentioned is the hollows on the insides of both handles - not the part you touch all that much, but the insides where the handles meet when the scissors are closed. I figure they're for the sole purpose of making the scissors lighter and using less plastic ergo costing less to manufacture and ship. But those holes are a right pain to get into and clean by hand. They're narrow and made of black material, so it's not easy to see whether you've gotten the last bit of raw meat out. Sure, if you're using these scissors normally you're not going to be touching those inner edges all that much, but it seems genuinely bass-ackwards to design a pair of kitchen scissors that can be taken apart for easy cleaning, but then add in two gaping holes that can collect more grime and are hard to clean. It's like they wanted to make it both easier and harder at the same time? They work well enough as kitchen scissors and I appreciate the herb stripper holes, but dang. I hate using these because cleaning them after is such a chore.

Great kitchen scissors
Sharp and perfect for the kitchen. Good quality and overall good value. They do sometimes come apart so just something to be mindful of but overall I’d buy them again

Heavy-duty without being heavyweight
These are the best shears I've ever owned. They're sharp without being heavy in weight, and are very sturdy. Great value.
