Sundis StepBin 25L Pedal Bin for Kitchen, Black

I’ve given five stars because this is a smart, perfectly sized bin for my utility room. I would have given four and a half as our utility room is tiled, and the bin tends to move around when operating the pedal. Some rubber feet would have been useful, so I will try and source these somewhere.

We've had a round stainless steel bin for about 10 years now and the lid hinge finally rusted through and literally came off in my husband's hand. So, when looking for a replacement we decided to try a plastic option as we will not have the rust issues with one of those and it will probably be easier to clean. We also knew that we didn't want a swing bin as the lids get dirty really fast and become a nuisance to keep clean.When the bin got delivered it was in good condition but it looked really small considering it was sold as a 50L bin. This could be because it is in black with a charcoal grey lid. When moved in to place in the kitchen it is the same height as the previous bin, just the colour making it look smaller I guess. Certainly managing to get plenty of rubbish in the bin and we definitely aren't going to need to empty it as often which is a bonus.Only had it a couple of days but it certainly seems sturdy enough and we have used it with both the foot pedal and also just by lifting the lis up to throw rubbish in there.Reasonable price point for what it is.

Mine arrived in perfect condition. The pedal was taped in place to avoid breakage during transit so the tape adhesive left some slight stickiness behind but it can be dissolved with rubbing alcohol and I'd much prefer a little bit of sticky residue left behind from tape than to receive a broken item. It isn't the sturdiest bin in the world but it does the job, it functions as it should. I think it was good value for money. I'm not sure what the other reviewers were expecting for this price. It was the best price I could find on this site for a pedal bin that would ship to my area and I am very pleased with the product I received. Value for money.

The rubbish bin has the worst quality I have seen out of all the kitchen bins I purchased in the past. The bin arrived half-broken, the paddle is out of place and took me 15 mins to install it back because the connection just kept falling out. The paddle and bin lid (should be connected by a verticle pole) are totally disjointed, making every step on the paddle a painful experience because the top is either not opened or the paddle will fall out of the place again. The bin itself is really light, effortless to displace with a step on the paddle and making the bin stuck in the corner. I have to correct its position every time I throw something into the bin. This bin worth 15 pounds at most, have no idea how it can be so pricy given the low quality.A total piece of rubbish, will be going into the recycle bin when the new metallic bin arrives.

bought this 2 days ago, and the lid has already broke, in all honesty the lid to start with was very flimsy, there is no inner tub that you can remove so the bin can be cleaned either, this bin would suit being used for dry materials like fabric cut off's not general waste.

This is a good bin. Easy to use. No assembly required. The only thing is that they should have a larger option

Bought this bin less than four weeks ago. Even though the bin worked well to begin with, the foot pedal kept getting jammed shortly afterwards. Now today the foot pedal and the opening mechanism on the back of the bin have broke and I can no longer open the bin with the foot pedal. I am very disappointed and think in future I will buy a metal bin instead with a stronger foot pedal.
