Is this compatible with the bass pad of the Alessio nitro mesh?

Annoyingly the bass pad isn't quite large enough to get the full kick. I bought mine for my son's kit for the same reason!!

Can I  use this double bass instead of the single bass on my ALESIS  nitro mesh kit?

Are these standard size footplates or longboards?

Mine are still holding up but I only had em since February, the one flaw I have is tension on the main medal, although I did an extensive research on reviews and they were all great, saying they work fantastic, the spring on the main pedal will not maintain the same level of tension as the left pedal, it has been tightened to the max trying to get more resistance out of it but still it feels too loose, I'm not sure if I will be able to perfect double hits with then, I can get them, but don't think I will be able to maintain control and avoid the galloping effect. I even swapped for the spare spring that was provided but still have the same problem.

Remember though, all the reviews were outstanding AND this is Stagg, world renowned for their quality, so it may just be a defect with my pedals or something I did or am doing wrong (I am a total noob to drum equipment so there's that to think of.) It's too late to send em back and find out now, I'm well out of the return period.

Bottom line is, apart from tension (I will state again, it could be my fault) unless you are a professional and already proficient in double bass, these will actually be a great set for the price and you should definitely go to them, (you will be able to get your feet moving with time, and research/tutorials to find the right foot technique for your body, but if you get the same problem, you will have to revisit and clean up that technique when you get something with sturdier spring tension.)

Just start a budget for an upgrade in roughly a year to year and a half, I'm on benefits and realised if I put £20 a month away for a year I'd have more than enough (although there are things I want/need to do first for my studio so unless they break I'll be using them until the studio is complete.) I'd still be able to upgrade in a year and a half to two if I wanted/needed to.

Also remember this is Amazon, so you could just try em out, keep the packaging, don't lose the drum and Allen keys (hex key for American's) and send them back within 30 days,no questions asked, if you have any problems or just don't like en, worth a shot is it not, I'm happy with them overall considering they are on the lower price range for such a prestigious company.
