DEKO Welding Helmet Auto Darkening: True Color Solar Powered Auto Darkening Welding Helmets Welder Mask Hood (Blue Eagle)

I’ve been using this for around 3 weeks now, working 4 days per week as a fabricator.It really is a great helmet for the price. I can clearly see what I am welding and it’s comfortable to wear.Slight problems; I couldn’t release the adjustable strap, I’ve set it precisely to fit my head without touching it now but can be released by unscrewing a screw. Keep the sensitivity low as it will start flashing at bright lights.Overall for the price it’s a fab product 👍🏽

I’m not an expert welder, but this is my second welding mask and definitely the best. As long as I remember to switch it on, it has performed exactly as I hoped.

Only just experimented with though for about £25 + True colour seems extremely worth it... Getting the settings right, delay and sensitivity, it does not flicker and works at very low amps, as in welding 0.5mm. Think some peole just went with whatever came out of the box. Also though quite thin the mask is made of polyamide think nylon so is strong though flexible and will mean it does not crack. It also has replaceable batteries CR2032 so cheap and easy to replace with the battry compartment. So compared to nearly any other with true vision or not seems exceptional for the price. I should also add even while experimanting to find your best and favourite setting even shade 4 grind setting will protect your eyes as shade 4 filter out all UV and IF that could damage your eyes or give you even temporary 'arc eye'. Mine was all plain black without any design on it not red which I prefer.

I was sceptical about the auto darkening feature, thinking, Im risking my eyesight here! But there was no need... the reaction time of this thing is bonkers. The mask is infront to you eyes, so light hits the mask before it hits you... and it darkens in a microsecond! Ive not seen so much a s a tiny flash... its dark before I get to see anything! - Very impressed.

Being new to welding, I didn't want to spend a fortune on my first welding mask, so I opted for the Deko Welding Helmet as it was cheap and cheerful and it seemed to have some decent reviews (and some poor ones). Initially it worked, but only for the first few times I used it. It then worked very sporadically, before failing completely, having been used just half a dozen times. Obviously, the battery was checked and replaced, but to no avail. I contacted Deko via e-mail on several occasions and they couldn't even be bothered to reply and attempt to solve the issue. Appalling after sales service.I decided to buy a PROPER welding helmet from a reputable welding supplies shop. Admittedly it was three times the price of the Deko one, but the difference is ASTOUNDING. You can actually see clearly what you're welding, whereas with the Deko one, the clarity of view is terrible.Thankfully, Amazon's customer service were superb and offered a full refund.To summarize. The Deko welding helmet is a cheap, poor quality mask and a waste of money. Any after sales service from Deko is non existent.Save your money and buy a proper, decent quality mask. Your eyes are too precious to risk using anything else.

Made in China but works perfectly control's are easy to understand and work as they should very pleased with it

Not to higher rating although the mask is Quite good for the price. IT really is a small size helmet and the headband is to small to fit anyone who might use welding caps etc. It does the job well in tight spaces for what it is. I certainly would not buy another. I have used it but it's very incomfortable.could not recomend.
